Jungkook walks to the terrace of the building with Taehyung trailing behind him. The blue haired boy has a number of questions ringing in his mind but he dares not ask. He has seen Jungkook's eyes that are not as soft as they usually are with him. The stoic expression on his face tells him that the other is clearly mad about something and he better not do something to piss him off.
Once they reach the terrace, Jungkook opens the door and steps aside, giving way to his ex roommate to go first. After Taehyung, Jungkook steps too and locks the door behind him, not wanting anyone to see them together and disturb them.
Taehyung looks at him curiously, waiting patiently for the other to say something. Jungkook takes a few steps in his direction. He expected Taehyung to step back but when he sees that the blue haired boy is standing at the same place and looking at him, no matter how close they are, he feels a kind of relief wash over him.
Now the two boys are standing just a few inches apart from each other. Jungkook brings his hand towards Taehyung's and gently holds it. Both their hearts beat at an abnormally fast pace. The both of them feel like an electric current has been passed through their bodies. They have missed this. They craved for each other's touch. They missed each other so much. Why are the circumstances not in their favour?
"H-How did you get these?" Jungkook asks, raising both their hands in front of Taehyung's face. His thumb makes circles at the other's bruises, suddenly making him extremely self conscious.
"I just... I just hurt myself." Taehyung makes an excuse and twists his hand in Jungkook's hold, to free himself. The cherry haired male gives him an amused look. He brings his other hand towards Taehyung's neck and softly traces his fingers there. The sensation is ticklish and Taehyung just wants to moan. It takes every ounce of self control to not just moan Jungkook's name and embarrass himself.
"Then what about these?" Jungkook asks again, staring at the bruises on Taehyung's neck that he is sure he got by being choked. That idea makes Jungkook angry. He is so infuriated that if he finds out which asshole did this to the boy he likes so much, he could kill him right at this very instant.
"I... I..." Taehyung doesn't know what to say. He knows that Jungkook would obviously not believe him. He is not that dumb.
"Who did this to you, Tae?" Jungkook asks, caressing the other's neck, hoping it would soothe him in some way. Taehyung gulps and looks down, not wanting to fall for this moment because he knows it's going to be over sooner than he wants it.
"N-No one." Taehyung says, in a small voice. The cherry haired male hooks his fingers under Taehyung's chin and makes him look in his eyes. "I don't like liars, Tae." He whispers and the blue haired boy holds an urge to roll his eyes.
"Right, you don't like liars. Then why the fuck have you been lying to me this whole time?" Taehyung demands. He himself has no idea how he got this sudden confidence but he knows that he does not want Jungkook to think that he's a fool because he's not. His ex roommate has made enough fool out of him by hiding so much right while they were living in the same room!
