"J-Jungkook... I..." Hoseok is at loss of words. He knew that helping Mingyu was not a really good idea, specially when he worked in the inner circle of the Orion. But he could not just help it. Taehyung was his friend back in college. After everything, he still considers him his friend.
"You were spying on us, hyung?" Jungkook asks, looking hurt. He looks from Taehyung to Hoseok again and again, wanting them to deny this. Wanting them to tell him that it isn't what he is thinking. But....
"I'm sorry, Kook. I c-couldn't help it." The eldest among the three says.
"Why, hyung? I thought you were on my side? Why would you go and help Mingyu?" The ravenette asks. He needs an answer or he would lose his mind.
"B-But Mingyu hyung is your friend now, Kook. S-So how does that matter?" Taehyung asks and indeed that was a very wrong question asked at a very wrong time. Jungkook glares at him, "You shut up! I'm already dealing a backstabber but now I find out that a member of my own inner circle is also one."
Hoseok does not like that. The word backstabber shouldn't be used for him. He never went against Jungkook. He cannot even think about it. "I... I didn't backstab you, Kook." He says softly. He hopes that the younger calms down first so that he can explain.
"Really? Then mind telling me what the heck were you two talking about?" He asks through clenched teeth. His eyes continue to shoot daggers. Taehyung shakes his head before speaking, "Give him a chance to explain, Kookie. Communication is the key, remember? You know what happened when Mingyu hyung and you did not talk, right?"
Jungkook nods. Taehyung is indeed right. He needs to learn his lesson from the incident that happened and try not to repeat it again. Only then can he be a more efficient leader. He sighs and looks at Hoseok, "Tell me, hyung. Why did you do that?"
A small smile forms on the older's face. He is glad that Jungkook is ready to listen. "So uhh... You told me to go to Seoul first during our last visit to Tokyo. I was on my way to the airport three days before Taehyung came to us... which was exactly the day when you asked Mingyu to send him here. I was in my car but another car suddenly came and stopped right in front of us. I freaked out. I thought there was gonna be an accident."
Taehyung chuckles, "It's so like Mingyu hyung. He likes to make sudden entries."
"I don't think we are here to talk about that, Kim. I don't have the whole day so shut up and let me hear him out." Jungkook glares at him again. He pouts, "Meanie." He mumbles and Jungkook has to somehow controls a smile from spreading across his lips because of how cute he is.
"Yeah so... the car stopped right in front of mine and a person came out of it. He told me that his boss, Kim Mingyu, would like to talk to me. I declined, obviously. But he said that it's about Taehyung and I couldn't say no. I just couldn't because... since college, I've considered him a really good friend. I know he has suffered a lot in the past too..." Hoseok says, glancing at Taehyung who is now staring at the floor, biting his lower lip. Jungkook feels guilty again.
