A few days have already passed since Taehyung came back from Jungkook's place. Since then, he has started helping his father catch the gang involved behind the attack. He never thought he would be doing this but he has some responsibilities too as the younger brother of the leader of the Yakuza. He wants to make sure that Mingyu recovers without a single worry. So he decided to help his father until Mingyu gets better and is ready to take over again. His career as an artist can wait until things are fixed in his life.
"Hyung, the forensic report came." Beomgyu announces, entering Mingyu's office which is now occupied by Taehyung. He enters the room without knocking because he and Taehyung are like brothers and they don't like formalities between them. But when his eyes fall on Mr. Kim, he immediately bows, "I'm so sorry, sir. I didn't know you were here."
Mr. Kim smiles at the youngest male present in the room and tells him to stand straight. Choi Beomgyu is a very trusted person in the Yakuza. Despite his young age, he is smarter and acts more experienced than some of the men who have been working here for quite sometime.
"What forensic report are you talking about?" Mr. Kim asks curiously, staring at the file the younger is holding.
"Dad, two days ago, Beomgyu and I decided to go to our mansion and check everything once again. We wanted to make sure we were not missing anything. And... we found some broken pieces of glass. They had blood and fingerprints. So we contacted Mr. Yamato, the famous forensic scientist, and asked him to sit with our team while we go throughout the country's database and try to find who the fingerprints belong to. We hope it worked." Taehyung explains. His father nods his head. He is proud of his younger son. He is glad that in the time of need, Taehyung has realised his responsibilities and decided to act accordingly.
"But hyung, the fingerprints do not match with anyone in the Japanese database." Beomgyu explains as he opens a specific page of the file and shows it to Taehyung. Both the Kims stare at the page with slight disappointment in their eyes.
"Did you check the databases of the other countries?" Mr. Kim asks. Beomgyu nods and flips through the file. "We went through the databases of many countries but we did not find any match. This is the list of the countries we checked."
Taehyung scans the lists and looks at his secretary, "What about the other countries?"
"We missed a few countries because their security is particularly high. It would take more time to go through their databases. I'm not saying it's impossible but it might take quite some time." Beomgyu explains. Going through the databases of so many countries at once is not an easy job only for a handful of people.
"Time is what we don't have, Beomgyu. It's like waiting for them to attack again." Mr. Kim's agitated voice sends shiver down both their spines.
Taehyung sighs and runs his hand through his hair in frustration. He closes his eyes with his hand still in his hair and immediately he remembers the time when Jungkook removed a strand of his hair from his face and called him beautiful.
