Taehyung arrived at his mansion a while ago. Yoongi had insisted that he could have him dropped but Taehyung did not want anymore trouble so he just told the other that he would take a cab to return home.
He is currently sitting in his room with Yeontan on his lap. Mingyu is not at home at the moment. Taehyung is scared. He does not know what he would say to his brother who definitely must be so mad at him.
Taehyung runs his hands through Yeontan's soft fur as the pup sleeps comfortably on his appa's lap without any care of the world. Sometimes the brunette cannot help but feel jealous of Yeontan. Yeah, it sounds ridiculous. He knows that.
Soon his thoughts are interrupted by the knock at his door. He quickly sits up straight and tells the person to come in. The door creaks open and he sees his brother's head peak inside. Taehyung tries to keep himself calm and the smile the older gives him helps him in calming down a little.
"How are you, Tae?" Mingyu asks as he enters the room. He softly closes the door behind him, not wanting the little creature on the lap of his brother to wake up due to the noise.
"I-I'm good, hyung." Taehyung forces a smile.
"Why are you stuttering, little brother? Are you perhaps lying to me?" Mingyu raises his eyebrows and Taehyung curses himself. He knows damn well how his brother can literally read him like an open book.
"No, I'm not." Taehyung puts his best acting skills at work. He does not understand why Mingyu is acting like this. Does he perhaps not know about what happened? Is that even possible that Kim Mingyu does not know? But Taehyung is in a fix. If Mingyu is not mentioning it, should he also pretend like it never happened or should he confess?
"That's good. I came here to ask you something though." Mingyu says, plopping on the bed next to his brother. Taehyung nudges his head, asking what he wants to tell him.
"I have a meeting with the Orion at the Park Hyatt Hotel tomorrow." The older says. "Okay?" Taehyung wonders why his brother is telling him this.
"I also know you have an exhibition in the same hotel tomorrow." Right. Taehyung has an exhibition there tomorrow and he completely forgot about it. What the hell is Beomgyu even doing? Why didn't he remind him? Taehyung makes a mental note to talk to his secretary about the same.
"I do. What about it?" The younger is getting impatient. He knows that its not all that Mingyu wants to tell him. There is more to that.
"So I want you to cancel or postpone your exhibition. Or maybe you can change the location. I don't care. I just don't want you at the Park Hyatt tomorrow." Mingyu says or more like declares. Taehyung's eyes widen. "W-What? But why?"
"Because the members of Orion are going to be there too. I don't want any other mafia group around you. It's not safe."
"But some of the Yakuza members are going to be there too. I'll have my guards too. What can even go wrong, hyung?" Taehyung asks farrowing his eyebrows. He does not like the idea his brother is suggesting. Why should he stay away? Why does he need to stop his work because of a reason like this? It's not fair.
