He awoke, yawning loudly. "Quiet down your yawning" Jay hissed
Hawk closed his mouth, not saying anything else. He left their sleeping den and trotting off into the woods to look for breakfast.
The dark brown Tom sat on a rock, his tail wrapping around his front paws. 'He's been so difficult since his fathers death' Hawk sighed 'he doesn't even know if he's actually dead or not' he flicked his tail, getting up and off the rock, back to looking for prey. He lifted his nose to taste the air. The air smelled odd, a clan he had never smelled before had passed through there. He knew the scents of Thunderclan and Riverclan, but this one was different. It smelled of grass, fresh air, like freedom. All the freedom Hawk has ever wished for!
He shook is head, knowing that following the scent wouldn't be a good idea "you have a lot of stupid ideas" Jay would scold. That line was basically engraved into Hawks brain, he would remember it even after death!
He went back to their den, not being successful with finding any food, unfortunately. He signed sitting down and getting to cleaning himself. Jay stared at him, dissatisfied and got up, leaving to go hunt. "Where are you going" Hawk questioned. Jay didn't reply and just left.
Days had passed since Hawk had scented the strange cats. Even if they might be a threat, Hawk hasn't told anyone yet.
Hawk got up, flicking his tail and leaving once again to go look for the scent once again. He seemed to be leaving in a hurry and Jay had noticed but hadn't said anything about it and let him go.
Hawk had found the scent again and followed it, curious. He crouched low under a bush, spying on the three cats.
"I scented 2 rouges a far from here"
"Ok and what do you want me to do about it?"
"Chase them off, obviously"
"No?"
"Why not" hissed the cat, getting impatient
"For one, they aren't in our territory, two they don't even seem like a threat"
"Like i care, it's the leaders orders"
"Quit arguing you two, we are going anyways"
Hawk shuffled uncomfortably, realizing after that he shook the bush and made sound, enough sound to get their attention. "There's something in the bush"
"It's probably a squirrel" the cat answered
"I'm starving, let's go get it"
"No, let's go" the third cat hissed leaving and the two others following close behind.
'Phew' Hawk sighed, retrieving from crouching position and sitting down, grooming himself before getting up again and going back to Jay.
