"So you're not going to tell anyone?"

"No," Iwaizumi assured her.

"Good. If father were to find out....," The omega sighed.

"I know. Not just him, the whole kingdom would be in chaos."

"Yeah. This is the best possible option."

The room was filled with silence again. Neither the alpha nor the omega said a word.

But they both were thinking about the same thing.

"Can we-"

"No," Iwaizumi deadpanned.

"Come on, you're just angry right now. You don't actually mean it."

"I'm not angry. He made his choice all those years back, and now I'm not going to ruin his plans."

The omega shook her head and sat down on the small cushion seat.

"I know you miss him. I do too."

"I never said I didn't. But, that doesn't exactly help, now does it?"

Heavy footsteps were heard approaching the room. The omega widened her eyes in fear and jumped off the seat.

"Quick. Leave."

"How? There's only one door and he's going to come through it," Iwaizumi replied, panic building in his chest.

"Uhhh, jump out the window."

"Are you serious right now? That's a fifty feet drop. Facing your father is better than that."

"Then, I don't know, hide in the closet or something."

"Stop making this sound like a romantic scene where the guy sneaks in to see his lover."

They continued arguing in whispers until the person outside knocked on the door.

The alpha slipped under the bed, suffocating himself in the process, and the girl ran to open the door.

A tall man, twice the size of his daughter, stood towering over her.

"Your highness," the brunette said, bowing down.

The orange sky illuminated the plain room. It had a high design-engraved ceiling. A soft, white, well-made bed. Wood-paneled walls on three sides of the room.

The fourth wall, made of glass, faced the sun. The room was very high up, preventing anyone from looking inside. It also had huge velvet maroon curtains, pulled aside.

The alpha stood in front of the vanity mirror. He fixed his overcoat tightly. The place where he was going was the coldest area in the kingdom.

He'd been there before, multiple times.

"Osamu, honey, are you ready?"

He turned around to find his mother at the doorway. She was wearing a long gown with a collar neck. Her long brown hair was left loose, extending till her waist.

"Yeah."

She gave him a soft smile and strode towards him. Despite being 8 inches shorter, she reached up and ran her fingers through her son's gray hair.

"Your father and I will be waiting outside by the carriage."

He hummed in reply and she left the room, after giving one last pat on his shoulder.

He turned back to look into the mirror. Somewhere along the way, it had become a habit.

He wasn't sure whether he liked it or hated it. Because every time he looked in it, it was not his reflection that he saw.

All he had to do was imagine the hair as blonde.

The long gates opened wide, letting in the white and maroon carriage. Soldiers rode in, on horses, before and after it.

A yell of 'The royal family of Inarizaki' and the door swung open. The king and queen stepped out, followed by the prince and his royal guard. They walked into the castle followed by a few soldiers.

"Do I have to come with you?" Osamu whispered to his parents.

"You could greet the king and queen before you wander off," his father replied.

"We've met them a million times already."

"Fine. Aran, stay with him."

Both alphas walked up the staircase, way from the king and queen, on entering the castle. Osamu let out a sigh as they reached the top and continued walking.

"It's not like I don't like them," he muttered, watching Aran from the corner of his eye.

The other simply chuckled, "Did I say anything?"

Osamu gave him a smile, which vanished as soon as it appeared.

"It's just, now that Atsumu isn't here anymore, they've resorted to pinching my cheeks instead," he continued, with a small eye roll.

It was Aran's turn to smile now. It had taken a few years for Osamu to mention his brother again. Though it looked and sounded casual when he said it, Aran knew how it hurt him to mention his twin.

Aran was interrupted from his train of thought as someone yelled out their names. Osamu bowed down and greeted the two people, Aran copying him.

"You're later than usual," Komori stated, after greeting them back.

"Osamu woke up late," Aran remarked. The mentioned alpha didn't have the energy to argue, so he let it be.

"Let's go outside," the other person monotoned, walking past them. If the others followed him or not, he didn't really care.

The evening breeze was cold. The sky was dull and it was surely going to rain.

The garden they were standing in had a small field of dandelions, matching the color of the kingdom.

"Well, Sakusa, I didn't get to speak to you at the meeting. What do you think of the Angels of Death?"

"I'm not sure..... I guess they must have a reason to do all this..?" Sakusa answered.

Osamu nodded and turned back to the flowers. This too had become a habit. Visiting the castle gardens was the first thing they did when they arrived at Itachiyama.

Atsumu had always forced them to do so.

It was a miracle how the plants managed to grow in this weather, and it had always fascinated the omega. And when he presented, his scent was the same as his favorite flower here.

Dandelions.
