A moment later a voice like thunder booms into my head "You have passed, welcome to the wonderful and dangerous world of Distinction Online!"

One moment I'm perched atop a cloud gazing down at the world around me, but the next Im teleported into a market-place surrounded by people!

Slightly flustered I decide to survey my surroundings. To my right is a row of merchants stands, being swarmed by players looking for fresh food or mechanical trinkets. The stand selling fish gives off a disgusting oder which probably stinks up the whole market. To my left are the city guards , patrolling the entrance gate at level 65. Defiantly don't want to meet them.

A slightly translucent screen chimes its way into my view, "You are now in the Stone City Market Place, please refrain from pvp inside the city. Relationship| A welcome visitor."

Stone City. Sounds like a decent place to start. Walking quikly through the bustling crowd I spot what im looking for. A potions shop, im looking to stock up on a couple minor healing potions before I leave the city in search of some mobs.

Entering the shop I notice the low ceilings, the darkness, the lack of people, and the overall run down look of the place. Not a place to hang out at, ill just get the potions and get out before any trouble starts.

"Hello there, welcome to Burt's potions what can I assist you with?" The massive ogre npc asks a little to plesantly. Although his only posessions are a couple cloth scraps and a wooden club I cannot help but feel inteadated. He must be atleast 7 feet tall

"I was looking for 5 minor healing potions."

"Yes sir, I have a couple right here. A single gold per potion and no haggling."

He places the five bottles on the counter. There filled with a nasty green and bubbley liquid that supposedly I will need to drink.

Begrudginly I pull up the menu and search through my nearly empty wallet. Exactly six gold to my name, ive got just enough for these potions and the enterance fee of the city incase I need to come back into the city.

I slide him the coins and grab the toxic looking concoctions. Without a word I slip outside back into the warm summer breeze, happy to be rid of the dark an dreary potions shop. I pull up the menu, then map and enter the crowd once again. I decide to track down the exit to the city and head to the nearest beginner area to start farming mobs for exp.
