Particles whirled around me as I was sucked into the world of Distinction Online. Without any warning I was teleported into the midnight sky floating lightly on a small uneven cloud. Surrounded by stars like pin pricks in the darkness of a black cloak.
A breath of wind gusts into my face. Careful not to lose my balance I look around. I notice three things, one My equipment. Im wearing black plate mail that completely covers my body except my head. At my side is a black bladed sword with a maroon handle. As soon as I focus on the armour a screen pops up.

Armour +2
Agl +1
Int +1
<> Ability 1: 3% bonus riding speedInteresting, but nothing special. Next my sword.
Dragon's Smite LvL 1
Desc: Forged from meteoric steal and dragons breath, this wepon has great power locked inside and you are the key!
Dmg +15
Fire Dmg +2
<> Ability 1: Every level gained will increase the damage by half your total level
<> Ability 2: Can be used while ridingVery nice! Although at level one the first ability wont be much use at the moment, but later it will be very helpful. The second thing I noticed was a little bell-shaped icon in the top right of my vision, no matter where I look the little bell follows and third a black and red tattoo in the shape of a dragon on my right forearm just below the elbow, kind of like a branding.
I reached out with my right hand toward the tiny outline of a bell to no avail. I try talking to it, yelling at it, clawing at it until finally I give up.
A couple seconds pass and I look at the stars taking in their florescent beauty, even though there not the real ones that does not deminish there beauty. Looking at the stars always calms me down, ever since I was a child. When my Mother and Father weren't divorced our family used to pile into an old RV and just drive. Sometimes at night we would stop just before we reached what ever random RV park we were stoping at and open the sun roof. Everyone would gaze up at the stars for hours pointing out constolations and bright stars.
I decide to try one last attempt to grab the bell. Somthing compels me to close my eyes so I shut them and reach out, gently grabbing at where the bell should be. Just like that the menu pops open with chime like a high pitched xylophone. Interesting I'm guessing thats to stop pvp loggers, players who log out just before they are killed. I close the menu and look ipward
"Welcome to Distinction Online, thank you for using the new SPECIFICS feature! Your class is Dragon Born, now for a test! Survive and you may keep you SPECIFIC"
Suddenly I feel an undeniable urge to touch the dragon tattoo. Almost hypnotically I place my left index finger at the base of the tattoo. Slowly I drag my index finger along the outside of the dragon, inspecting every detail and colour. The moment I complete the first circuit of the tattoo, it starts glowing fiercely with crimson red light and agonizingly burns my forearm forever changing the image. Suddenly I cannot see more then an inch in front of my nose! Unable to stand for fear of falling I crouch. A swirling and twisting mass is brought into existance in my right hand and I realise my simple test, don't drop it. The uneven light splits into the sky like sparks off a coal. Every spark means another burn and every burn hurts but I won't drop this thing what every it is because of a bit of imaginary pain!
Then just like that it all stops, no more pain or light.
