blacked out days

monday, 9:47am

i rolled over, i could see the brightness peering in from outside so i knew it was morning. i had class today at 10am. god i hated school. i checked my phone to see the time.

shit. 9:47am. i quickly rushed out of bed and threw on my uniform with a hoodie over my shirt and tie and hurried into the bathroom. i really looked terrible and i could still smell the lingering smell of alcohol from last night. i turned on the tap and splashed cold water on my face to wake me up a bit. i started brushing my teeth and tried to flatten the top of my hair at the same time.

my phone started vibrating on the edge of the bath, it was about to fall off but i caught it. it was ryan calling me.

"why weren't you answering all morning?" he said in a slightly concerned voice.

"shit sorry, im only awake and kinda rushing can i call you back in 10?" i replied while spraying the first aftershave i grabbed to hide the smell of last nights scene.

"oh right okay, do you need a lift to college? i'm like 2 minutes away from you" he spoke

i'm so happy he offered because i somehow made it only 5 minutes late.

i left my house and locked the door after my fourth attempt. i never can lock doors the first time. i turned round and ryan was laughing at me from his car. i flipped him off as i walked to his car. ryan opened the car door from the inside to let me in and looked up at me with his smile, his eyes always smiling before.

college was less than a 10 minute drive away so it wasn't a long drive with him but he was picking me up after class anyways so we could spend more time together.

we pulled up to my college.
"i don't even want to go now" i complained to him as i put my head on his shoulder. he moved his arm round me and gave me a hug from the side and kissed my forehead.
"get out" he laughed.

he drove off, honking the horn as much as he could, trying to be funny. i wasn't in the mood for college. suppose it was only two hours though so it would fly in.
