Kakyoin's pov
I felt nervous and uncomfortable?? I don't know it was just so weird hanging out with Jotaro by ourselves. I only had one person in my entire life I could consider my "friend" and even then we never hung out like this. It was just so odd. He barely even waited for me to but on my shoes. Once the heel was barley on he was out the door. Should I say something? My feelings were such a mess. It's been like that ever since I've been around Jotaro more. He was was so confusing, or maybe I was just confused? Ugh my head hurts.
"Kakyoin" His loud booming voice made all my thoughts stop.
"Yes?" I nervously answered back.
"Um d-did you..did" I looked at him puzzled he was stumbling over his words which wasn't like him. He rubbed his neck and used his other hand to pull his hat over his face "Did you eat breakfast?"
That's what he was stuttering about? "Um yeah I had a couple sips of tea." I chuckled.
"Oh then I know this really good cafe, so would you like too...." He trailed off and starting avoiding eye contact again.
"Yes?"
"Would you like to go there?" I stopped walking and looked at him for a second, just out of surprise that Jotaro would be asking me to a cafe. "O-or not it's really fine we don't have to. I mean I just said that because you know my mom gave us some money and um you know." I couldn't help it I just started bursting out laughing. I was so nervous about all of this and seeing Jotaro struggling to ask me to a cafe eased the tension.
"Sorry I don't mean to laugh." I said trying to keep it together enough to form a sentence. I wiped the tears from my eyes and looked back at him. His worried expression was still on his face. I couldn't help it I broke out into another laughing fit. "I'm sorry I'll stop." I said through giggles.
"Yeah whatever." He shoved his hand and his pocket and turned around to leave me alone laughing on the floor.
"Okay I'm sorry. Where's the cafe at?" I said grabbing the back of his jacket.
He slightly turned around to face me before pulling his hat down. "Just that way." He mumbled pointing of into the distance. I covered my mouth but I still couldn't stop some giggles from escaping.
"I can still hear you, you know." He hissed back at me.
"Okay I'll stop now." I said followed by muffled laughter. He just rolled his eyes and countiuned walking. I think he had finally given up.
The cafe was a cute a little shop with paper decorations all in the windows. When we stepped inside the warm smell of coffee filled my nose accompanied by baked patires. There was also quiet classical music playing over the speakers which gave the place an even calmer vibe. The lights were dimly lit so almost the whole place was light up by sunshine.
"Oh Jotaro you're here" I looked over and saw a sweet old lady behind the counter. She had gentle features despite being quiet old.
Jotaro nodded his head to acknowledge her.
"Oh and you brought a friend." She said smiling twords me. Jotaro only nodded then stepped over to look at pastries under the glass. "An Americano right?" Jotaro nodded again. "What can I get your friend?" She asked already making his drink.
Jotaro looked at me I've never been to a cafe before I had no idea what to get "Um uh.." I scanned the menu but I didn't know what half the stuff even meant "uh tea?" I said looking at the lady who was even more confused than me.
"I think he needs more time." Jotaro chuckled. The lady smilied and happily made Jotaro's drink.
I took my time browsing the menu looking for something. The problem was I had no idea what half the words meant. I mean I know an espresso is coffee but what's the difference?? But something did catch my eye. I had seen it on tv before bubble tea. I've always wanted to try it. I think Jotaro noticed me focusing on the picture. "Is that what you want?" he asked
