Wednesday was a slow day at your place.
Your family and friends went out or were busy at work, there was nothing good on TV and you didn’t have any hobbies. Reading was too boring, piano was too tedious and there were only so many hours to work out that wouldn’t leave you sore afterwards on the couch. But, this Wednesday was extremely different from the rest and you didn’t think any hobby could subside the sadness you currently felt from your previous breakup that occurred only just a mere few hours ago.
Curled up and extremely exhausted, you resided on the couch most of the afternoon. Flipping through channels, contemplating rewatching your favorite movies, but didn’t want to associate them with how sad you are. You were desperately trying to find any way to escape this sorrow feeling yet the only thing that took your mind off it entirely was the channel nine news.
After a canceled audition, your best friend walked through the front door with her backpack on, but froze after shutting the door. She wondered why the lights were off and the curtains were shut in the middle of the day until the girls eyes fell on her best-friend bundled in a fleece blanket on the couch, looking down and depressed.
As she tossed the backpack on the dining room table, Teyana furrowed her thick eyebrows at what was displayed on the Television screen.
“Is there a reason you’re crying like a little bitch while watching the channel nine news? Since when do you care about fruity ass mark roe?”
“Because it makes me think about nothing. Especially after you get broken up with.” You pouted, snuggling closer to the fluffy throw pillow your mother got you for Christmas. Your chin sunk into the top of it, dry eyes reflecting the two newscasters rambling about current politics, something you couldn’t care less about. Especially since you were against the Bushes.
Teyana rolled her brown doey eyes, “Uh uh, get your ass up. You can’t live like this.” She said, grabbing the remote to turn off the TV. “You’re being way to damn dramatic, even for an actor. Don’t you think?”
You sighed, “Don't start, I'm just a little fucked up right now, I'm not in the mood for this T.”
It wasn’t the first time you were like this, all sobbing and regretful, after a breakup and quite frankly– Teyana couldn’t go easy on you about it anymore. Every time someone broke your heart you would always end up in this exact predicament, she was over it by now. According to her ninety-five percent of the time it was due to you chasing after the wrong ones, that's why she never takes pity on you. Right now tough love was the only thing she was willing to offer.
“Aye, imma be real with you… Meghan was a straight hoe. You and I both know that shit wasn't going nowhere.” Teyana shrugged. “Every time we went out she loved to make you jealous, then coming home late while you sat up wondering where she been. Yo, you don’t remember that time she left you sitting outside and you ended up walking twenty blocks, then you had to apologize for that shit!?”
