Chapter 1

"Nightingale!"

I hugged my pillow saka tumagilid para matulog pa ulit. "Dear, wake up! You will be late for your class!" I frustratingly opened my eyes as I sat down on my bed. 

"Ma, I'm going to be late just once, please let me." I walked inside the comfort room as I looked beyond my imagination.

"Oh no, honey. Get up already, your Dad is already here, maligo ka na," I sighed as I stood up and get my towel baths.

I prepared myself and picked a taupe cardigan vest and a white long-sleeved polo shirt for my top and a white tennis skirt for my bottom. I removed the towel over my head and I looked at the mirror. "I need to blow dry my hair,"

After that, I immediately wear a white running shoes saka tiningnan muli ang sarili sa salamin if I haven't forgot anything. "Okay, mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest one of all?" tiningnan ko pa ang sarili ko saka tumawa sandali before I grabbed my tote bag as I hurriedly went down to the house.

"Mi hija!" napangiti naman ako kay Daddy. "Hi, Dad." I kissed him to his cheek. 

Umupo na agad ako saka tumingin kay Mama. Inabutan nya ako ng food saka ako kumuha ng kaunti, since I need iced coffee right before going school. Alam na nila yon, kaya hinahayaan na nila ako. 

"How are you and David?" 

"David?" I furrowed my brows. "You mean, Lorenzo?" I asked. 

Since that very first night my Mom, she answered yes for me because I left unsaid. I was really shocked of what happened! I never heard of him since that day, I thought it's nothing serious and I am still young, no! 

I mean ang awkward kaya! I didn't want him as well as he didn't want me! And he's way older than me. Like, not that older older, but he is five years older than me! FIVE FREAKING YEARS! He's technically a young adult and I was a teen! A TEEN!

"Oh, we're.." napatikhim ako saka ngumiti. "We're fine, he's just busy Mom," 

"Oh, akala ko nagkita kayo ng isang araw?" Dad tilted his head as he twirl his fork. "Yep, we did." 

And it's awkward! Totoo namang nagkikita kami ng isang beses sa isang buwan ng kami lang at may isang beses din sa isang buwan na kasama ang pamilya namin. Tsaka, hindi naman kami nag-uusap talaga! Kumakain lang kami then after that, uwi na! We don't have anything to talk about as well, so.

Kapag nagkikita naman kami kasama yung pamilya namin palaging, "hi, love, I missed you," ulol. 

Sino namang maniniwala don? Syempre lahat sila, kuhang-kuha nya silang lahat sa galing nya umarte.

Kapag nasa sasakyan naman kami kapag sinusundo nya ako for dinner, hindi rin kami nag-uusap, pag may pagkakataon naman palaging kasama namin ang pamilya namin pareho. We didn't initiate talks to each other. We are actually strangers to each other that forced to be together.
