Chapter 66: Step right up

Rift caught them off guard by slip space jumping behind them. Since Spinner was part lizard, he wasn't able to move as quickly in the environment affected by Shoto's cold ice. A solid kick and jaw punch from Rift knocked the villain hard to the ground.
"DEKU! WHERE IS HE?!!" Bakugo shouted.
"Oh he and the others are here. That doesn't mean you get to meet them. Shigaraki and the others have plans for all of them." Mr. Compress replied.
"ARGH! DIE!!"
More explosions shook the corridor. Melissa meanwhile was constantly shielding everyone from damage with her new quirk.
"HEAVEN PIERCING ICE WALL!!"
The entire hallway was instantly choked up with more ice from Shoto.
The two villains were immobilized and struggling to break free from the frozen sarcophagus.
"Watch it next time; you nearly trapped me," Rift commented.
"Who's next?!" Bakugo shouted.

"We have visitors doctor." Shigaraki said.
"Heroes here for the three. I figured as much."
"We should get out of here before more show up."
"Not yet, I'd like to send some of my new creations to test themselves."
"More nomu? Isn't Roach enough?"
"She has the capability but she and Dabi are dealing with that little break out. So yes, release the nomu."
He then returned his sight on Akane. She was unconscious and lying on an examination table, still clothed. The sedative would likely wear off in about an hour. That might not be enough time for him to complete the test.
Three enormous dark figures emerged from the confinement of the giant test tubes and howled slightly.
"Go forth and wreak as much destruction on the intruders as you can." Ujiko instructed them.
They took off with maniacal smiles on their faces and unblinking eyes.

"Fight Midoriya to the death." Roach instructed the unsuspecting escapee.
A putrid smell filled the hallway and savagery took over the girl.
She watched as the target strained and struggled with the command. Augmentation was just too strong to resist. Her hands became the size of boulders and were quickly swinging towards the green hair boy.
"Let's finish this!" Dabi said. He unleashed a torrent of blue flames, nearly enveloping Roach in the process. Midoriya was swallowed out of sight as was Kendo by a spinning tornado of fire. "That should trap them together for now."
Roach dusted herself off slightly before nodding at him.
BOOOOOM!!!
"What did that doctor do now?" She complained.
"I don't think that was him. Sounded like it came from the entrance." He replied.
"Come on! Let's get going!"
"ITSUKA KENDO! ITS ME, IZUKU MIDORIYA! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, THEN FIGHT WHAT IS CONTROLLING YOU! I KNOW THAT YOU ARE TRYING AND WANT TO RESIST IT!! DO IT FOR US!"
"Kid that ain't going to work," Roach replied softly to herself.
"Say it again." Kendo said.
"What?" Roach said startled; she immediately saw the whirlwind of fire die down with the girl's fists being held back by Midoriya. They both had tears running down their faces as they struggled.
"What's going on with my quirk?!" She thought to herself.
