Thanksgiving Day.

My nerves had me up since 5 am, and they have yet to settle. I don't know why I was so nervous seeing Jack today. I hadn't seen him since our date, which was fine because he had been spending time with his family. He missed being home with his parents. I was afraid of taking him away from his family on Thanksgiving, but his mother encouraged him to have Thanksgiving with us. According to Jack's mom, she's never seen him so over the moon with a girl. Jack couldn't even tell me that without blushing on facetime. Jack's mom was pushing him to bring me home tonight after dinner, and that alone made me nervous.

Jack would be here in an hour, which was early since it was only 11 o clock in the morning. But, my parents usually start Thanksgiving out early. Jack didn't mind, he was all for it. I was still trying to figure out what to wear. I had finished my makeup, which was simple and nothing too heavy. Elisa came in to help me with my hair, it was pinned out of my face with thick curls cascading down my back. I put my pearl studs in my ears, before adding a simple pearl necklace to match.

Searching my closet, I found a dark green long-sleeved dress. It wasn't too thin and wasn't too thick. I paired the dress with light brown thigh boots with a slight heel on them. I grabbed a scarf that matched the boots. I was putting on my boots when the doorbell rang. I smiled to myself as I looked in the mirror making sure I looked decent enough. I hurried downstairs seeing Jack standing there with two bouquets of flowers. One that had light pink roses, with a mixture of baby breaths. Then, an arrangement of orange tulips, my mother's favorite.

Jack was dressed in a black turtle neck, a matching black blazer, and slacks with dress shoes. He looked so handsome. I couldn't help but smile at him as I came down the stairs. Jack's gaze landed on me, ignoring my piling family coming into the hallway.

"Y/N Y/L/N. My goodness, you're looking absolutely stunning."

Jack spoke as he took my hand kissing it before kissing me softly on the lips.

"You know how to steal a girl's heart, don't you, Mr. Harlow?"

I winked at him as he handed me the pink roses.

"Only yours, mamas," Jack whispered in my ear causing me to melt.

I let a shaky breath out as I let my attention fall on my family. Audrey and Harper were shooting daggers in my direction, they hated seeing someone else happy before them. It was pretty pathetic. My brother Carter and Elisa were looking with a bit of awe. Adam shot me a smile, a silent approval of Jack in a way. My father and mother were the first to greet Jack.

"It's good to see you, Jack. I'm glad you could spend Thanksgiving with our family."

"The pleasure is all mine. I appreciate you and your lovely wife inviting me, sir. By the way, Mrs. Y/M/L/N, Y/N told me your favorite flowers and I had a florist throw these together this morning per request."
