After.
Pain.
That's all I felt. Pain. Sharp pains radiated through my body, down my back, and across my chest. I was gasping for breath at some point, which is when someone put something in my nose that tickled but gave me more oxygen than I was receiving. I saw nothing but flashing lights, my vision blurring. All I could do was call for Jack. Begging someone to listen. I needed Jack.
"Her heart rate is dropping!" Someone yelled over me.
"Get her in the ambulance, we can't waste any more time. She's losing too much blood." A woman yelled as I began moving.
"Jack..."
His name dying on my tongue before I could even speak his name. My vision faded darker till it was nothing.

Before.
Jack would be home in about an hour and a half. My emotions swirled between happiness and nervousness. He had just finished his Creme Da La Creme tour and we were heading back to his home state of Kentucky in a few days. I was excited to have him home, but my nerves were shaking me to my core. I had something exciting to tell him, and I hoped for nothing but happiness from him. I was 8 weeks pregnant. When I found out, I remembered the night we celebrated his successful tour mid-way through. I had a few too many to drink, and things ended up getting wild between Jack and me. Honestly, it was great.
Telling Jack was going to be a surprise, I had everything set up in the dining room. Two balloons, one pink and one blue tied to a set of baby new balance shoes, then behind it were ultrasound pictures I had done a few days ago. Seeing our little nugget made me want to burst with joy, but I didn't want to say anything till Jack knew.
I had decided to take a shower to wash the day off my restless body. I grabbed my towels, setting them on the bathroom counter as I started the hot water, letting it get to a decent temperature. I pulled my hair out of the braids I had, letting my hair flow down my back. I sighed in relief not feeling that tightness I had on my head anymore. I stripped my clothes off, putting them in the basket before stepping into the shower, letting out another sigh of relief.
Midway through the shower, I heard glass breaking. I felt my breath hitch in my throat. My body ran cold despite being underneath the heat of the water. I turned off the water, thinking it was just Jack accidentally dropping a glass, yet my mind was telling me that something wasn't right. I quickly dried off, putting on my shirt and sweats, letting my dripping wet hair soak into my shirt. I stepped out into the hallway, hearing someone talking. Moving quietly, I saw a blonde girl standing where my pregnancy announcement sat.
"No. No. This isn't fair!"
She screamed as she pushed everything off the table in a fit of rage. I jumped back, causing the wood to squeak underneath me. I froze in my body, hearing my heart beating so hard against my chest. The girl turned around in a fluid movement spotting me.
"You bitch!" She screamed as she shot towards me.
I tried to run but she grabbed my hair, slamming me down on the floor. Pain shot through my head as I groaned, my vision going blurry. Before I could react the girl was on top of me punching me. She was screaming, her face turning red.
