Fun Facts About Arcadia
Arcadia is about the size of Pluto, technically making it a dwarf planet.
The average temperature of a normal day on Arcadia in most rings is 41 degrees F (5 degrees C). Some rings are much colder, but overall Arcadia is a generally cold planet.
Arcadia gets no sunlight from nearby stars thanks to being wrapped up in a dark nebula, so the few trees and plants that live there grow through chemosynthesis rather than photosynthesis.
Because of the aforementioned planetary darkness, demons and vampires have "night vision" of sorts that they have adapted to see in such a dark world, so it looks much different to them than it would a human. A human on Arcadia would find it very difficult or nearly impossible to see.
Demons are not fond of very bright lights because they are so used to living in the dark. Vampires are more resilient and not as bothered by bright light, but tend to prefer nighttime or cloudy weather.
Demons came into existence on Arcadia around 200,000 years ago.
Over the course of this story, the era taking place on Earth during that time would have likely been during the Middle Ages, or sometime in the 1300s.
Demons received their namesake not because they are particularly hellish, but because they are perversions of nature. Different demon species having their own animal traits symbolize their transformation from natural creatures to something completely unique.
