A/N: I truly apologise for the inconsistent update of this novel as I am unfortunately a middle class citizen that slaves the day away but in my fantasy, I am rolling in money and have too much time on my heads. For those that just join us, thank you for reading 'Next Stop, Love' and I would really appreciate it if you leave likes and comments along the story.
Let's continue with P'Forth and his Beamy
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Beam POV:
Weeks turned into months. The visits have become more frequent. Either I drop by P'Forth's home or he comes by with Sunny or sometimes alone. Regardless, I enjoy their presence in their lives and I am grateful that P'Forth let me be a part of Sunny's life.
Even though I am enjoying the pace of this relationship or whatever you call this endeavour, I could not help but to constantly ask myself; Where is Sunny's Mother. Till date, P'Forth has never mentioned her, let alone see her shadow or any traces of her in the family home. As if, she never existed."So Beamy, tell us. How are things between you and your P'Forth?"
Great! Just great! Another round of interrogation by the Cheshire Couple as I like to call them because of the huge grin that is always plastered on their faces each time a P'Forth is mentioned in a conversation.
"We are just friends. Two strangers who happened to cross paths and decided to be apart of each others' lives"
"Before you say it Ming, no! I do not have any feelings for P'Forth!" I quickly added, sensing Ming was about to ask something ridiculous.
"Alright calm down Beam! Ming has not even asked anything, so defensive."
"A little suspish! Don't you think so, Ming?" For once, I wanted to just run the knife through Kit's dimples.
Right when I tried to evade the conversation, Pha and Wayo just had to appear and butt into the conversation. Trapping me by the wall without anywhere to run.
"To be honest Beam, I've been meaning to ask. Where is P'Forth's wife?"
Of course, Pha asking the million dollar question, what's new. Being the father of the group, Pha has always been more serious and protective of the guys that come into our lives. Scrutinizing every single man to make sure they are worthy of seeing his children AKA Kit and I.
"Actually, P'Pha. I read it on some gossip blog. Unsure whether it is accurate but apparently, she went out of the country a year after giving birth to her son. On top of that, there were instances captured by the paparazzi that suggest that P'Forth's relationship with her has always been under turbulence."
Wayo's words definitely piqued my interest. Unlike Wayo, I am not one to care about gossip and hot topics of people whose lives do not interest me. I'm not sure whether it is my place to question the authenticity of this gossip to P'Forth but I am utterly curious especially when we have been close this past weeks.
Forth POV:
Beam Baramee.
The name of the angel that has captured my heart. The person whose gaze has always held me in a trance, whose voice always soothes the raging emotions of my heart, whose touch always melts me as though the sun is shining on top of a block of butter. It has been months since Beam has become a part of my life and most importantly, Sunny's. My boy definitely favours him over his own father these days, to the point of videocalling Beam whenever possible before he sleeps.
Personally, I have been using every opportunity that I get to visit him at the cafe during working hours. Often purposely scheduling my informal meetings there just to have a glimpse of the Angel. Outside of working hours, I have Sunny as my accomplice, fishing Beam to the house with the promise of playdates and lunches. That boy will grow up to be a man that knows how to use his charm to his advantage, like his daddy.
I would say there is not much progress on my personal mission to make Beam mine, unfortunately. Externally, people fear me because of my work status but internally, it is a constant battle of building the courage to court the man I love.
I can be serious with my business associates because I impress them for work advantages but with Beam. The fear of screwing up has always been present alongside the intention to impress him. Each time I wish to ask him out, I get tongue tied and add on the fear of being rejected makes my intentions futile for most of it.
Fret not everyone, I do have intentions to make Beam mine and I intend to stick to that till the end. I just need time to find the courage to take the first step. I just hope that Beam will wait for me till then.
Speaking of Beam, I am picking him up from work today, as usual. He's coming over for dinner and a short playdate with Sunny.
Beam POV:
Sometimes I wonder, am I paid enough to entertain such lecherous customers. Dressed up like a gentleman but behaved like a monster.
I am supposed to be in high spirits today since I am spending my afterwork time with P'Forth. I mean with Sunny as well. Not just P'Forth.
However, I can't seem to be in high spirit because this particular customer has made one of our waitresses uncomfortable through his actions which led to me being his server now.
"What is this dish?"
For the love of god, is he here for dinner or to do a quality check on our menu because he has been questioning every single item without giving the slightest possibility of placing an order at all.
"Would it be alright if I give you some time on your own to look through the menu. My colleagues require my assistance for a moment."
Right when I was about to make my grand escape, the man held my wrist in place and smirked to himself as he openly checks me out from head to toe.
"Now now, where do you think you are going. A fine specimen of human being such as yourself should be by my side. I am a paying customer after all.
"I'm not too sure what impression the cafe has given you but I assure you sir that this is not that kind of establishment. Now, I suggest you keep your hands to yourself while I am still tolerating your disgusting attitude."
Summoning every fiber I have in my body to not let this man meet my first, I tried to remain as professional as I could.
"Feisty I see. I like those feisty ones. Make things a little exciting, don't you think?"
Alright that's it! I've had it with this man! Right as I was about to give him a punch, someone beat me to it as I felt myself being pulled back and a broad back protected me.
"Hands! Off! My! Man!"
P'Forth ...

Author's Note:
Initially, there was an immediate continuation after P'Forth steps into the cafe but I feel like I've kept all of you waiting too long so I will just drop this chapter here first while I continue writing the second half of this portion.
Again, do leave comments and likes along the chapter and story so that it gets more views and appears at more prominent search results . Thank you.
