A/N: before I start this, I just want to mention the lore will be twisted for the sake of this fanfic. I'll try to keep it as close as possible, but I do apologize.

Knocking the alarm off the desk, and throwing the warm covers over your head. The last thing in the world you wanted to do was get out of bed, reluctantly, but mainly because the alarm was still screaming, you got up.

"I hate you." You shunned the alarm like it had concious thought. Placing it harshly down on the nightstand. Throwing on some odd pants, and a classic band t shirt. Taking your time walking down the hallway, to get breakfast.

"I don't have time for cereal, I should have some spare granola bars..." mumbling, you shuffled through the cabinets before snatching a small snack. Opening it you took a bite of the oats. Now, finally getting some energy you groggily made your way over to the bathroom.

After freshening up your hair, and brushing your teeth, you walked over to the coat rack. This is when your roommate finally crawled out of her den.

"(Y/n), you're already up?" Kylie asked, rubbing her eyes and yawning.

"Some of us have 8am classes, Ky." You groaned walking over and giving her a hug. Even though you, and Kylie rarely saw each other in the mornings. She always made you feel like you belong before you set off on your Journey.

"Righty tighty, you got breakfast, right?" Kylie walked over to the cupboard, grabbing herself a bowl. You crossed your arms defensively, "does a granola bar count?" Ky just huffed and shook her head.

"You're not my mom, but I love you, bye Ky!" Waving you made your way out, Kylie waving tiredly at the door. You had gone out the same time yesterday for an interview, to your surprise they hired you on the spot. Now, today, you were going class, and starting your work that night. Lucky you.

After finishing up with class, dropping your backpack off, and getting changed into your uniform. You were ready...Kinda.

Walking to the new job would take around 5 minutes, so you didn't need to beg Kylie to drive you. On your way out she pulled you into a hug, and straightened up your uniform.

"Bye mom" you joked, Kylie laughed under her breath. Looking at you with pride.

"Spread your wings my child." She shot a joke back, spreading her arms wide and Bowing. You laughed stumbling back and nearly falling out the door.

"Careful now (y/n), remember if you need anything you can call me. While after 5, I have some studying to do."

Nodding your head, and fixing your posture you made your way out of the house, on your way towards the pizzeria. Opening the doors, you were hit with the smell of fast food. Not your most favorite smell in the world.

The whole scene looked like something out of a fever dream. Party tables decorated with birthday hats, and those cheap paper plates. Children's drawings, of what you would assume to be the mascots hung on the walls. The place was sorta clean, definitely not dirty, but every place had its quirks.

"You must be (y/n)?" A guy waved you over, ushering you over towards him. You slowly approached, still a bit cautious as the whole vibe of the pizzeria was off.

"I'm Cale, we spoke over the phone." He answered the question you haven't even asked. You nodded your head.

"Yes sir! I remember, I'm so sorry it's been a long day." You laughed awkwardly, Cale was your new manager. To say you were good with names would be a huge lie. Cale reached out and you shook his hand.

He was dressed fairly nicely, a classic white dress shirt, with a black tie that hung somewhat sloppy. Cale was slim build, and looked exhausted. "I'll be showing you the ins and outs of this place..." he waved his hand gesturing to all the halls, and different rooms. You nodded again, beaming with curiosity.
