Chapter 1 

"Alright, are you ready, Lavina?" You asked your light purple Eeveelution as you checked your appearance one last time before it was your turn to perform. You sat at your vanity as you applied the last little touch of your makeup, as it was always your lipstick. It was a bright red, to contrast with your pink and turquoise frilly dress. 

"Esp!" Lavina responded, as she sat by your side. 

You looked over at her as you closed your lipstick. You set it down, then pet her head. "We've been practicing so much… I know we'll win this time!" You exclaimed positively, as you hugged her. Lavina was your Espeon that you've had ever since you were little. She had been by your side ever since you were four years old as a little Eevee. She has always looked after and protected you. 

"Peon!" Lavina exclaimed, as she seemed to agree with you. You had recently taught her a new move that you thought would wow the judges, a move that was rare for Espeon to learn.

You got up from your vanity, and straightened out your pastel pink and turquoise frilly dress. You slipped your pink heels on to match your dress, and headed out into the hallway. You walked to the stage access point as you waited for your name to be called. Lavina walked by your side. You looked down at her, as you saw a nervous expression on her soft purple face. 

You stopped midway, and kneeled down to her level. "Hey, it's okay Lavina. We got this. I know we do! Just do what you do best." You said excitedly, and winked. 

"Everyone please welcome Y/N and her Espeon, Lavina!" You heard the announcer say over her microphone. 

You and Lavina walked out onto the stage as the spotlights were now on you. From what you could see, the auditorium was full, but not packed. You dreamed of the day everyone in Sinnoh was there to watch you. 

The music came on, and Lavina immediately moved to it. She moved gracefully, as the music was slower than the previous time you participated. Probably because this was a beauty competition partake, and not the toughness one like you participated in last time. 

Lavina moved her tail and ears gently and gracefully, as she trotted across the stage elegantly. Now was the part you had practiced hard for. 

"Alright Lavina, use Dazzling Gleam!" You exclaimed to her, as Lavina looked back at you and nodded in understanding. She stopped, and then let out the bright, colorful flash to the audience and trotted gracefully. It almost looked like she was walking on air. 

"Well, would you look at that! A beautiful Dazzling Gleam! That's not a move you see every day performed by an Eeveelution other than Sylveon!" The announcer complimented over the microphone. Lavina continued to banter across the stage, the Dazzling Gleam giving her the illusion of looking like she was floating still. 

The music ended, and Lavina then stopped. The entire audience clapped for you, as you bowed and smiled. You were so happy and excited that Lavina performed what you had practiced so perfectly. Lavina bowed down as well, thanking the audience for watching her. 

The rest of the participants came out onto the stage so they could announce the winners. A hiker appeared with his Onix. A battle girl appeared with her Lucario. Then a fisherman appeared with his Magikarp. You were slightly nervous about who won, but you tried to stay positive. 

"The votes are in, we have a winner for the contest!" The announcer said over the mic. You took a deep breath in, and closed your eyes. You crossed your fingers. You wanted this so bad. 

"And the winner of the contest is…. Y/N and her Espeon, Lavina!" The announcer announced over the microphone. 

Everyone on stage clapped for you, and the auditorium was overwhelmed with the sound of applause and whistling. You gasped, as you couldn't believe this happened. Lavina was so excited that she jumped in your arms, and licked your face with excitement. The announcer came over and gave you a ribbon, along with some beauty stickers for capsules.
