LUKES POV
I was so happy, yet still sad.
Ashton still looked really pale, and his scars were wrapped up...
I had just walked in to see Ashton with his eyes shut.
It looked like he was sleeping, but he was awake.
Ashton opened his eyes and looked at me. "L-Lukey? I-I'm so s-sorry." Ashton teared up causing me to frown.
"Ssh Ash, it's okay. Don't apologize. I'm right here." I took a seat at the chair next to his bed and gently took his hand.
"I-I wanted to go, b-but J-Jane made me realize that it isn't m-my time. T-then I thought o-of how m-much I l-love you. I-I d-didn't want t-to leave y-you."
I smiled sadly then pecked his cheek. "I love you Ash."
Ashton's eyes lit up and he smiled brightly, "I love you to!"
Ashton yanked me into a hug, "Hey, you didn't stutter." I whispered with a smile. "I-I'm trying to n-not stutter as m-much."
That made me really happy. Ashton was trying to get better. Now all I needed to do was ask him to be my boyfriend.
"Ashton, d-do you, maybe wanna be, umm.. Do you w-want to be my boyfriend?" Ashton's smile got impossibly bigger.
"Yes!" Ashton put his hand behind my neck and pressed his lips on mine.
Fireworks went off everywhere.
Birds were singing.
Everything was perfect.
But of course, all good things come to an end....
