If you were told that there was a dimension deep in the forests of an unknown Pacific island called Seran that was protected from humankind and teeming with fantastical creatures, would you believe me?
Of course you wouldn’t.
Yet, it’s true.
A rocky mountain terrain skirts the beach, enveloping a great land mass in the center. The island is divided into four lands: Kingdom Divine, The Elerian Vast, the kingdom of Trin, and the Darkue Lynds (That’s “Dark Lands” for you non-ancient language-speaking readers).
The Kingdom Divine is full of all those graceful creatures – elves, dragons (friendly ones, of course), fairies, and bunnies… things like that. It is ruled by the elven queen, Marin, the oldest elf there is. Since fairies don’t do so well under the leadership of a different race, Marin granted them a large forest called nothing other than “The Fair Woods.” The Fair Woods is actually divided into two separate fairy kingdoms – The Light Kingdom and the Kingdom of Light. …I’ll just let you think about what kind of wars those names started.
In the Elerian Vast, there is no ruler. That’s also the result of why this seemingly perfect landscape of fields, forests, rivers, etcetera, is so often attacked by the beings of the Darkue Lynds.
Moving on to the Darkue Lynds, you will find every single fantastical being there is. There’s only one problem… they’re all ridiculously, maniacally evil. The only reason anyone dares to travel there is because they are jerks and don’t want to be righteous in any way.
Sometimes, though rare, some creatures of the Darkue Lynds aren’t vile, maniacal, or evil. In fact, some of them are just social outcasts or loners.
“Since everything there is evil, why do they let the non-evil creatures live?” You ask?
The answer is actually quite simple – most of the creatures that keep to themselves don’t ever make it more than a couple of days. But those that do… they overpower their antagonists and make their own way, crushing those that seek to destroy them. It would be insane to try to best these creatures, for their power is unmatchable by far.
Of course, there are more powerful evil beings than the powerful non-evil beings, but they are the leaders of factions and vagabonds; not to be tried with, and never trying with anything except what their clans bring them.
Leaving the awful and awfully expansive subject of the Darkue Lynds, we are left with the kingdom of Trin. The kingdom of Trin is a near-perfect replica of The Kingdom Divine, only it is led by the elven king, Petre. The only population of fantastical creatures that its woodlands lack is the fairies, who choose to live in The Fair Woods.
I hope that you are more educated than confused by now, and I hope that you can follow along with this story a bit easier. Lastly, you should know that this story begins in the frilly, gorgeous paradise of The Fair Woods.
