Inuyasha’s POV

After securing the area where we left Seshōmaru and Amaterasu the rest of us headed back towards the well knowing Kagome would be showing up sooner or later. I could feel Sango and Miroku’s glancing my way every few seconds. Shippō being Shippō had run off ahead of us no real interest in the matter. He was a kit after all what did I expect.

Sango sighed stopping in her tracks I turned to face her. Guess someone finally decided to ask. She eyed me wearily before asking, “So why exactly are you helping Seshōmaru? I thought you hated him for him hating you all these years for you being the offspring of your father’s side love? What made you change your mind all of a sudden?”

The demon hunter really knew how to pile it on and shove it down your throat. Now that the questions were out in the open I wasn’t even really sure myself. I glanced around the area trying to think about it. A faint smile appeared on my lips as I answered her questions, “Nothing has really changed I still think he’s an idiot and an asshole who’s so full of himself and could use a good ass kicking here and there. But in a way I understand him I knew how I was before I met Kagome I was engulfed in only wanting power and becoming a full-blooded demon. Even though she isn’t my intended mate I chose her. She’s the one for me by choice without my inner demon barking away at me She’s out mate mark her. She helped me see what was more important than power or becoming a full demon.” An image of all the times Kagome had told me sit boy popped into my head. I laughed shaking my head at the memories. “I had her by my side all this time. What you and Miroku don’t know is that Seshōmaru once used to be different than he is now. He had a heart that beat like the rest. But many years ago he had his intended mate taken from him for her own safety. She was sent to Kagome’s time and all this time she has been hearing about what he has turned into and she blames herself for it. She won’t accept and give into her being his mate and that idiot won’t fight unless it’s her choice.”

Miroku walked to my side patting my shoulder. A stupid grin splattered across his face. The damn monk decided to make this even sappier than it already was as he said, “Who would have though that the all mighty Inuyasha did care for his older brother after all. If things go well for Seshōmaru and that girl than maybe we’ll get to see a double wedding for both of these guys. “He turned to look at his beloved Sango. “Right love?”

Sango shook her head at her stupid husband. But I could still see a trace of a faint smile on her lips. The tough demon hunter was having her share of fun with the pearvy monk at my expense. She hid her smile behind her hand as she spoke, “We’ll have to see the way Seshōmaru and Inuyasha are who knows which of them will admit to their feeling first. But once they do maybe we can get them to…”

The damn pearvy monk cut off his wife as he snapped his fingers yelling out, “I got it if they all do get married then both of them can be godparents to our children. What do you think love?”

Sango looked at Miroku like he grew a pair of horns and his teeth became sharp. She tried keeping her voice calm but failed miserably, “I can handle Inuyasha and Kagome being godparents to our children but Seshōmaru and that girl I don’t even know. You crazy pearvy monk are one step closer to being left on the roads without a family.”

My eyes started to water as my laughter took over. An image of a heartbroken Miroku wondering the roads had popped into my head and it was just priceless. Miroku shot a glare my way if looks could kill I’d be dead on the spot. He turned to look at his wife pleading, “But Sango wouldn’t you like a strong full blooded demon like Seshōmaru to watch over our children and lovely looking young girl to keep our little one company. I’m sure those two would love our girls and little boy as their own.”
