Amaterasu’s POV

Something stirring fallowed by painful groans woke me from my sleep. Quickly sitting up I too quick that my head felt lightheaded for a few seconds. After the lightheaded-ness vanished my vision zoomed in on the man from yesterday. He was trying to sit up on his own. I rushed to his side helping him sit up. I murmured, “You should rest more Priestess Kaede said that you shouldn’t try to move until your wounds have healed properly.”

The man ignored my warning and tried standing up on his own. Not even able to stand longer than two seconds he fell to his knees. I shook my head as I wrapped my arms around his waist mumbling under my breath, “You stupid man clearly you can’t listen to a simple instruction. You’ll succeed in only opening your wounds once more if you try to push your body past what it can do at the moment.”

The man glared at me shoving me away from him. Caught off guard by his sudden outburst I fell to the ground on my bum. He fell as well but on his face. He groaned in pain as he tried standing up again. This time though he made a foot before falling to his knees. He groaned in pain.

Shoving myself off the ground I walked over to him. Pushing him onto his back I saw the blood starting to stain his shirt. I smacked him muttering, “You idiot I warned you that you would open your wounds if you pushed your body further than what it can handle in your current condition. Your little macho act had caused your wounds to open.”

As I opened the top half of his kimono shoving it down his shoulder and arms. I focused on nothing but tending to his wounds. Though I did glanced a peek at the hard lines of his chest and stomach. I gulped slightly as I stood up to get a bowl of water and cloth to clean his wounds before stitching them back up.

I felt his gaze on me as I went to fetch what I needed. Finally he spoke his deep low voice sending shivers down my spine, “Why are you helping me? You don’t even know me. I’m nothing more but a stranger to you.”

Keeping my gaze low I returned to his side kneeling next to him. I decided to act like I didn’t hear him. Focusing on only attending his wounds I dipped the cloth in the bowl of water. Gently cleaning his wounds trying to avoid causing him any more pain than he was already in.

He was quite for a few moments before opening his mouth again, “How about we skip the wound cleaning and to what you clearly want.”

I snatched my hand away from him going back to cleaning his wounds, “And what would exactly would that be.”

“I saw the way you stared at me and the glint of lust that passed through your eyes as stared at my body. Clearly you want me and I’m not fighting you.”

I pushed on the wound I was currently cleaning enjoying the pain that was evident in his features. I smirked, “Don’t push your luck you mutt.”
The man’s features became dark as he reached out grabbing my wrist yanking me towards him. He pulled me against his bloody chest as he whispered in my ear, “I love my woman feisty especially when they pretend like they don’t want me. It really turns me on.”

I tired breaking free of his grasp but he surprised me as he threw me to the ground his body hovering over mine. Lust filled his along with another emotion I couldn’t quite make out. He leaned in his hot breath brushing my cheek, “Something about you brings out the demon inside of me.”

Without another word he leaned in closing the distance between us. I tried fighting him at first but something deep within me didn’t want to fight him off no that part of me wanted him to devour me. I wanted to be part of him. Without thinking I wrapped my arms around his neck brining him closer to me. I kissed him back like my life depended on it. He pulled away both of breathing ragged he nuzzled my neck a whimper escaped my lips. I could have sworn he had growled in response but I wasn’t certain.
