Haeyoon fell asleep peacefully on Jaemin's shoulder but just because she fell asleep as if nothing has happened, does not mean the same can be guaranteed when she wakes up. With laboured breathing and a sudden electric jolt down her spine, Haeyoon cries as soon as she looks at the boy next to her. Jaemin didn't hesitate to rake his hands through the side of her head, trying his best to calm her down but the more Jaemin touched her, the more confirmation she had that what happened earlier in the prison with her parents was not a dream.

For the next few days, Haeyoon found sleeping to be a more exhausting task than her normal hectic day schedule. The revelation that her parents had said the other day at prison was on loop inside her head and she couldn't find the stop or delete button. The sound of her heart shattering as it clenches the oxygen and life out of her is excruciating and she feels like she could cry again even though no tears may be shed.

Her lifeless body became a small talk in the hallway but Haeyoon paid no attention and walked to her first class of the day. As she nears the classroom, she hears two familiar voices exchanging dialogue to each other.

"You have to go for it, you know? She's not going to stay single forever." Haeyoon could practically hear how his eyes did his signature crescent moon smile.

"I know but I can't find a reason why she would accept me." And there it was, the voice that she yearned to hear during her crying sessions at night, yet also the voice that made her remember the pain of the last few days. "I can't do it, Jeno." Jaemin sighs as he clenches on the 'H' and 'Y' clear keyring that he made that day in the mall for the girl. He keeps his eyes on the 'H' letter on his palm, letting the 'Y' dangle in the air, "Why would she accept someone like me?"

Jeno could only frown at his lack of self confidence, "I've known Haeyoon all my life. Honestly, I've never seen the way she looks at anyone other than the glimmering eyes that she gives you, Jaemin. Just do it."

"Easy for you to say, bet you've never been rejected." Jaemin mumbles, still keeping his eyes on the alphabet.

"Yebin." Jeno starts. Jaemin looks up to the reminiscing boy, "Before Haeyoon, Soobin, Renjun and Donghyuck joined the group, it was just Yebin and I. I fell for Yebin," Jeno looks at Jaemin with reassurance, "but I also got rejected. She likes Donghyuck, you see."

Jaemin lets out a small 'oh', regretting his earlier words as Jeno recalls his painful memory, "How'd you deal with it?"

"I like Yebin and so I want her to be happy. If it's not me, then it's not me."

The simple explanation gave Jaemin a bit of self confidence as he mouths a silent 'thanks' to be boy. Haeyoon accidentally dozed off a bit and dropped her pencil case on the floor, the small clunk led Jaemin and Jeno to walk out the room, "Haeyoon?"

Haeyoon didn't look up at the voice, the guilt eating her from the inside. She did tilt her head up to see the 'Y' keyring dangling from Jaemin's hands, her heart feeling even more pain if it even can. Jaemin is oblivious to the girl's emotion and bends down to pick up the pencil case, placing it on top of the stacked books on her arms.
