Kendra's POV•

Sitting across from me bleeding and pleading"just let me go i wont say a word i swear with my life"

I approach him tugging on his hair"people shouldn't swear on lives they don't own"i whispered"either tell me where i can find him,or I'll let you rot in here"bmj
"If i tell you hell kill me,he will kill my entire family,don't you have someone you care for or are you a cold hearted asshole"he snapped afraid id really do it,but i remember what I've promised her

A sigh escaped my lips"you got it then your family's life in exchange for yours"i say leaving him shackled by the ankle,his hands tied to the back of the chair

His screams ached my heart remembering the worst memories , I've tried to forget them or act like they didn't exist  but each one dugs deeper in me i took a deep breath covering half of my face

"Do anything sketchy and your done for it"i warned him stepping closer

"I wont thank you"he says i cut the cord and give him a key

"Now that your free ,care to deliver a message"he nods "tell my Watkins boy to man up otherwise he knows whats coming at him"i told my message and hurrayed out

Im mostly thankful that the semester is over i can focus on surviving,only a month left before i get my life back

My phone buzzed receiving a message

"Why are you leaving me on read again"she says i bite my lip hiding a smile as if im standing before her

"Im not just took care of a human rat"i sent my reply surprised that shes awake right now

"Please tell me you didn't"she asks and i read her message changing my route to her direction

I knocked on the door patently waiting for her,its been a whole moth of us calling each other texting instead if meeting outside the final halls,sharing glances but nothing more,her text came in different ways to me and i knew i had to do something

The door is swung open as i flinched out of my head"why the hell woul-Im cut off by being dragged from the collar

"Mom i didn't do anything "i joke having a glare strike my mouth shut

She gets herself a glass of wine crossing her leg over the other"you may speak now"she said with hint of attitude lacing her whole

Knitting my brows shocked to even stumble on my own words"i-im ,what you need to know is that i didn't hurt anyone,not even a broken rib"i explain stepping closer with each word

"I'm worried about you,the more i think about it the more i get anxious,and anxious isn't my best suit"she said

"I understand Evelyn i do,but i have to end it sooner or later things are going to add up to the FBI and by that time i want to be done with everything,it is complicated I'll try to make it happen soon,don't worry too much"i kneeled before her holding her hands i kiss both of her knuckles softly

She lifts my chin up"I'll never be ready to lose you"our foreheads touching"mom is overrated don't you think"

I chuckled"yes it is love,is keva home"i ask

"No Adam took her out for a play date"she replied

I leaned in connecting our lips together,she kisses me back pulling me towards her body,she pulls back for air"will you stay ,or you got somewhere to be"

"Not anytime soon"she smiled as i picked her up from the couch she ties her arms around my neck

Gently sitting her on the bed taking my shirt off and we just cuddled in complete silence ,only the sound of breathing settling in the room,i can tell she has something on her mind

She didn't say anything except embracing my body tenderly,stroking her fingers across my forearms planting kisses all over my cheek,each time she hover away from my lips

I groaned annoyed and my ears hear her silent chuckles"you don't want to kiss me"i pout in the dim lighting of the streets lights giving the room a dark orange color

She pulls back from the hug"because im still mad at you,they won't get the privilege"she comments and i try to pull my arms off of her she stops me

"Your not allowed to do that either"

My eyebrows knitt"then what am i allowed to do then"my confusion is irresistible to hold back

"Your allowed to be a good girl and stay where you are"she whispers in my ear blowing a warm breath

I smile locking her in my arms again,humming"I'm a good girl for tonight i guess"

After countless minutes of playing around we conversed on my situation and what im about to do if i get to the Watkins, then i promised i wont do something stupid unless i had to,which includes killing a piece of shit setting the universe free from scums

Sliding out of the bed silently putting my ear phone on"k i never thought you'd call"she said in my ear,her tone wasn't like before always cheerful and sweet,i can tell shes mad"I'm terribly sorry for what your going through,but you could at least call"she finished

"Yeah sorry for that jess, at least I'll be free to live as i please ,i need a favor"

"Name it sweetheart"she replied clicking on her keyboard

"I need this to have no dust left, no records no trails,i need you to leave nothing on your way in and out"she humms for me to continue"i need you to find someone Named Watkins they obviously set a 12 figure number for my head,you know what i need"

"It'll take a couple of minutes,because i cant find any related data in our database I'll try the high ranks base and get back to you"she explained

I sigh"jess, don't try to find me, not when im with her"i warned her knowing she would get nosy and put herself and Evelyn in a bad box

"Ughh okay okay i will wipe everything clean,relax love"she stated ending the call after

Jessica is one of my best friends the only one at work,she's a pain in the ass but still she always been there for me ,even when i didn't like it,she's the only one who knew the real me,that Emani will never know

Speaking of the devil she texts me,apparently she's back from her vacation,i didn't think of calling but she always did ,although it was rude of me to leave her on delivered but i had my reasons

"Im sorry i haven't replied to any of your messages"i said in my text she read it quickly

"Your horrible for not saying anything,you know you can talk to me,so why didn't you"

I dont know for myself if im guessing id say afraid she would hate me,Evelyn is something else,but Emani is another universe that i have no power in except subjection and its not possible for me

"Im not at home"

"Your with her aren't ya"she said with an annoying tone but it always made me light up a bit

I chuckled"yes shes asleep and i need some too"

"Alright see you tomorrow,love you"

My words were sincere i meant every last one of them,she meant a lot in a short period of time,all the heartedly talks the loyalty she is nothing like me,i don't deserve her

I turned my phone off,seeing her shift in bed looking for me,when she sees me she extends her hand out for me printing a smile on my lips

Taking her hand in mine and snuggling close to my back"don't leave me"she mumbled i shift to face her

Her eyes slightly open,i kiss her tender lips"i will always be here"i point to where her heart is

She buries her head in my neck"i love you"she mumbles

Its the first time for her to say it,that she loves me,my heart melt in my chest,shes the difference in my life the good difference that makes me happy 

I enjoy myself feeling her warm breaths on my skin,stroking her head before my eyes couldn't fight the sleep
