Evelyn's POV•

I took the easy way i guess,my decisions don't just effect me it effects everything and everyone around me,today nothing matters more than being there for one person,yet my heart felt a disturbing ache that showed on my face

My arm is tapped by someone,i look to my left seeing Kendra with a tight lipped smile on her face,looking lovely as always,she had her locks in a high bun with a couple of them shaping her face,i cant fight the smile that coated what im feeling deep down

"Hey...ready for the long awaited day"i breath out a sigh of relief when her smile turned into a grin

"Im more excited to be free out of assignments,and exams plus those weirdos around me"she circled her finger in the air with a sly smile

I shook my head"your an adult speaking like a high schooler,splendid indeed"she wiggled her brows at me i lean in close to her ear"come find me after the ceremony"i pulled back looking at her flushed face her cheeks in a hue of red it made me triumphantly smirking as i left

Walking into my hall feeling light as a feather i sat in my chair feeling eyes on me,so i look around to see who it is im met with emerald eyes shining bright from the sun rays

"Hi there,you don't look like a student,visiting someone"i say squinting my eyes to catch glimpses of her features

The woman stands tall clicking her heels on her way,definitely not a student but probably a guest,she stands in front of me looking down at me for god knows what,but i knew i wasn't comfortable standing there

She clears her throat"i see what she fell in love with"her perfectly shaped jaw flexed,something in her is familiar but i cant pick it out just yet

"Excuse me"i said with knitted eyebrows having my heart beating fast

"Your Evelyn Olsen,am i correct"she knows me why do i not recognize her,though i nodded studying her face"im Kendra's mother,nice to finally meet you"she said

Okay now im shocked,i didn't even meet the woman,having things told about her doesn't suffice her enough,she does have the creepy aura but somehow it's warm and i sense her caring energy

"Yes. Nice to meet you to"i stretched my arm out and she took it in hers shacking mine with a smile

"Im sorry for the uncalled passing,but im here to make sure who exactly my daughter fell in love with"she says sizing me up and down

"I wouldn't line it up like that,but it's a pleasure to finally meet you"

"Sounds like someone's been talking about me,good things i hope"she deadpanned like she read my mind

"Of course,please do have a seat"i motioned to the students tables and we sit and she actually starts interrogating me,not leaving any question out of the list

It's been like an hour or so the ceremony now is finished,and we both stood in front of my door seeing the students rushing down the halls to set themselves free i guess,not knowing what's coming at them

"Thank you for being a wonderful person in my daughters life,please don't break her heart,she never acted like that for anyone before,im rooting for you both"she says a genuine smile plastered on her face,both her hands gently squeezing mine

I smiled giving a squeeze back"i'll do my best,i've never been sure about anything in my life,but im sure about her,and my kid loves her more than what i imagined"she smiled pulling me in a hug and i stroke her back

"What the hell are you doing" i hear a cold still familiar voice,it was emotionless that it shocked me enough to snap both of our heads towards it

"Kendra sweetie,it's not what you think it is,well not all of it,okay just hear me out"Agatha said looking somehow frightened making me even more perplexed

"Hi love"i look at the woman"Again it was really nice to meet you,but im afraid i have a promise to fulfill"i say as i motion for her to leave so i could do what i planed on doing before she popped out of the shadows

"It was nice meeting you too"she smiles at me"I'll see you around honey,take care"she says to Kendra who was ready to shank someone,but her features softened and she smiled at the woman

I sit across from her on my desk she wants to say a lot i can feel it so i have to make it quick,clearing my throat"i have a little something for you,it's not much but i wanted to"i took out the velvet medium sized box out of the drawer and slid it to her

"You know you didn't have to,and i was definitely more than happy to just enjoy having you tonight"she winks at me flushing my cheeks red"can i open it now"She asks with flares of excitement shone in her eyes

I smile rolling my eyes"go ahead"

Kendra's POV•

Inhaling a deep breath to slow down the adrenaline of teasing and loving this woman,i open the box revealing a simple yet elegant gold chain,my eyes widened for crying out loud it was the limited edition that i planned on buying but finding out that someone bought the last one made me jealous for no reason

"It was you"i squealed getting off of the chair my eyes somehow burning"you didn't have to"

She wraps her arm around my back the other wiping my stream of tears"i wanted to silly,it's just one of my love languages i guess"she chuckled leaning close to my ear"i love you"

"I love you more"i said kissing her cheek,it was literally something i thought i'd never have aside from her which made me feel overly sad but now im too happy

"Wait is a teachers salary that huge"i ask knitting my brows

"No i rob banks"she winks with a sly smile

"Okay i know for a fact that you would rather starve to death,than do something illegal,ya better spit out"my curiosity got the best of me and i was desperate to know

"No you dont"she paused squinting her eyes at me staring"fine you win"she sighs"i come from a rich sassy family,it's something i forget about sometimes"

I hummed in thought because i did a background check and it shone nothing"Jess"i whispered under my breath face palming myself

I cut her off"no nothing as such,i don't care about where you came from or how was your past,im more invested on us and now,i love you and nothing's going to change that"i lean in inches away"im madly in love with you"i peck her lips
