An Unexpected Journey

It was a bright and sunny day at Rutgers University. The wi-fi wasn't down, the heat was finally shut off, and nobody had had sex in the shower the night before. Well as far as John Lee knew. But he didn't care about that, he was too busy making fun of his friend John Linn.

"Hey John isn't Arrow such a great show? I really feel like Stephen Amell is an Oscar-worthy actor."

"Shut the hell up. They hired him for his abs. They make him do shirtless pull-ups every episode. Its obscene." John Linn's face grew beet red as spittle flew from his enraged lips.

"You're too easy to screw with John," John Lee's face broke into his hyena grin. "Did you hear they might make John Diggle Green Lantern?"

John Lee wasn't surprised when John Linn went and punched a hole in the study lounge. He simply shook his head and grabbed his backpack.

"Well I should probably get to class. You should probably get that looked at." He paused before opening the door.

"It's not the end of the world yet. Jesse Eisenberg's going to make a great Lex Luthor."

As he left the dorm building, John Lee could still hear the tortured screams of his geek friend echo across the lawn.

"We could have had Bryan Cranstooooon..."

John Lee smiled. Today was going to be a good day. He checked the bus app. The RexB was going to be on time for once. He might actually even be early to class. Plugging his earbuds in, John let the soothing sounds of Taylor Swift flood through his head.

A sudden blast of air blew past him, upsetting his intake of Taylor Swift. Lee looked up to see a futuristic aircraft rush off into the distance but then suddenly head right back towards him. The roar of a vehicle alerted him to the fact that there was an armored car crashing towards him.

"Well, shit."

He was thankful that he had disciplined himself to get up at 6:00 every morning to work out. Otherwise he would probably never had dodged the armored vehicle that careened into a tree behind him. He looked back at the smoking wreck, breathing heavily. For the most part it had come to a crumpled, mangled halt. John was considering getting up from the ground and going to class when something whistled over his head and impaled itself into the back door of the vehicle.

Oddly enough, the projectile appeared to be an arrow. In the same time that John pondered the idiocy of firing an arrow at an armed car, he also realized that the arrow was beeping and blinking. John immediately ducked down again but could not stop the door from exploding outwards. As he raised his body in preparation of evasive manuevers, he was struck in the head with a piece of flaming metal. With a silly grin plastered on his face, his surroundings lapsed into darkness.

Feeling slowly returned along with light peeking through his lids. A few things that John noticied immediately were the fact that he felt terrible, he was wearing no clothes, and he was reasonably sure that there was something rammed up his ass. On further examination, he realized that he was lying on his stomach and a blanket was covering his behind. He opened his eyes, groaning as the light blinded him momentarily. When his vision adjusted he found himself staring up into a circle of what he inferred to be doctors.

"Subject is awake. Get Doctor Killbrew."

Another face stepped into the light, one that John had never believed he would meet in his lifetime. One that everyone had seen after the Battle of New York last year.

"Aw gawd Hawkeye? Iss thaat youuu?"

A frown spread across Hawkeye's chiseled visage. "Is he going to be okay?"
