Rosalind
Rosalind Monet hurried down the stone brick roads of Mondstadt, becoming increasingly distracted by her surroundings. Being new to Mondstadt wasn't easy. There were so many directions to remember and conditions that needed to be arranged for a person to become a full-fledged citizen.
There was hardly ever a moment in the day for Ros to spend time looking for a place to stay or socializing...
Even before tumbling into the world of Teyvat and seeking refuge in Mondstadt, Rosalind already lacked the ability to concentrate on her schoolwork without drifting off from time to time.
She had always been like this and if not for her being inexplicably teleported to an alternate universe, Ros would have probably gotten herself checked for ADHD after she graduated from college.
Rosalind's brain just persistently bounced from one topic to the next and, as of late, Ros' absent-mindedness was getting worse. Between trying to find a place to stay and managing her new job at the library, it seemed like she could never keep her thoughts in order.
Worries and reflections were never in short supply for Ros. She was lucky enough to land a new job just weeks after finding herself in Teyvat, but it turned out that the cost of this stroke of fortune was extremely long working hours. There were only two librarians in all of Mondstadt, so logic dictated that half of the library's operating hours would need to be filled by Rosalind.
As Rosalind continued to sprint to work, she thought about her new supervisor, Lisa. Ros just so happened to be hurrying to take over Lisa's shift at the library, so, naturally, her mind kept drifting to her boss' rather unique attitude.
Naturally, Ros was grateful that she could avoid becoming a beggar by working as Lisa's assistant, but her new boss' behavior was... suspicious.
Lisa, the head librarian, constantly made flirtatious comments to Rosalind, the patrons at the library, and...well, everyone she came across really. It ticked Rosalind off and made some Mondstadters apprehensive about visiting the library as well.
In truth, It's thanks to Lisa and the Knights of Favonius that I've survived this long in Teyvat, Rosalind thought. She's generous, but that doesn't mean Lisa shouldn't be more aware of the fact that her remarks may be making people uncomfortable.
Though Ros woke up lost in Teyvat weeks ago, she had only recently started working alongside Lisa as a librarian for the Knights. Ros quickly learned that the KOF was the leading organization in the city of Mondstadt as well as its protectors, so Ros took working for them seriously.
Besides respecting city authorities and avoiding poverty, Rosalind also tried to take pride in her work for other reasons. The way Ros saw it, she was one of the City of Freedom's sole providers of information and entertainment. It was an occupation to be proud of and a fun one at that. After all, whenever someone wasn't checking out a book, Ros could read any book of her choice to pass the time.
So far, Ros considered Lisa to be the only downside to being a librarian and she dreaded the occasional days when she had to help Lisa out during her shift.
Rosalind scrunched up her nose as she walked, remembering her first day at work. Lisa had made a parting comment to one of the customers, that, in her opinion, was mind-numbingly uncalled for.
Why? Why would she even...No, why would anyone even say that at a PUBLIC library!? Ros questioned, still bewildered by the thought of Lisa's comment.
You see, Lisa's remark to the customer was permanently etched into Rosalind's brain.
" I hope to see you again soon," Lisa had said in a coquettish voice. "We don't often get patrons as cute as you. Oh! But maybe if you turn your book in late... I'll be lucky enough to end up finding you again myself."
