Albedo
Albedo didn't have anything to carry all Jean's misappropriated information on Rosalind with, but by stacking the books and tucking the scroll underneath his armpit, he found that he could carry them all with ease.
He said his farewells to Jean and left her office, shutting the door behind him while holding in a quiet sigh.
This has been .... a trying day... I spent this whole morning commuting, having my questions ignored, and then being told to find the answers to everyone else's questions.
Albedo gave a slight head shake and let out the sigh he was holding in.
It's fine, I guess. I the have means to answer most of my questions now. So it all worked out in the end... But no matter how much digging I do, I'm not a magician. Without talking to Lisa, I won't know why she thinks Rosalind has so much potential.
Albedo started to feel the weight of the three books in his arms and finally turned towards the exit of Knights of Favonious Headquarters. As he reached the door, Albedo decided he'd use the remainder of the day to get supplies in the city and formulate a plan on how to get close to Rosalind. The first thing he needed to do was figure out when he could see Lisa again.
Hmm, though I don't know Lisa that well, I've been told she usually takes strolls after work in the outskirts of town, closer to the forest... It's not too far from Headquarters and our briefing just ended. Perhaps if I run I'll catch up to her and then she can explain all the books and forms she collected from Rosalind... Maybe they were part of how she evaluated Rosalind's aptitude for magic.
Albedo opened the door and, having decided to simply try booking it to the city outskirts, started to hurry down the steps of the KOFH to catch up to Lisa. Albedo's attention was being wholly devoted to trying to commit the information he just got on Rosalind to memory, so he hadn't been careful enough to fully turn around after shutting the door behind him. Instead, he dashed down the stairs without looking ahead of himself, an action that would actually cause him to lose more time as he rammed full speed into a woman climbing up the stairs, and ended up dropping all the documents he had been struggling to carry.
Rosalind
"AHHEE!"
Rosalind shrieked as she felt a sudden shove. She panicked, frantically looking all around while she lost her foothold and fell headfirst towards the pavement. In any second, her head would be gashed open on the unforgiving concrete sidewalk. It seemed a severe brain injury was inevitable.
My life in Mondstadt just started...is it about to be ruined already? Rosalind asked herself despairingly.
Figures, even before moving here my luck always seemed to be lacking.
Fortunately, however, Ros' panic was short-lived. Through a blur of paperwork, Ros could see the person at the top of the stairs quickly jump forward and wrap their arms around her.
Within a few seconds, the individual had somehow caught Rosalind in midair and was standing on their own two feet without a scratch.
"Are you alright," a young man's voice asked Rosalind.
Frightened and shocked, Ros opened her tightly closed eyes and jerked her head up.
Judging by their place at the top of the stairs, the man who caught her also seemed to be the one who ran into her. Now, oddly enough, he was holding her against his chest, and staring intently at her.
