Seo Ryeong fell asleep in the car on the way back from Daegu. Min Hyeon watched her, wondering what was going through her mind. Yes, they had just gotten married yesterday and yes, he had thought it was a good idea to let her meet her father to begin to resolve some Daddy issues. Seo Ryeong, Min Hyeon knew, was not someone who easily allowed others to know what she was really thinking. He shifted in his seat, stretching out his legs in front of him. Unfortunately, Seo Ryeong woke as well. One venomous eye fixed on him.

"Why are you moving like a squid on a frying pan?"

"You love it when I move like that," Min Hyeon's repartee sailed right back.

Seo Ryeong groaned, closed the venom filled eye, turned away and fell back to sleep. The hour-long ride back to Busan did not awaken her. When their driver finally halted in front of their house, Min Hyeon decided that letting his bride sleep in the car was ungentlemanly. He opened her side of the passenger door and hauled her bodily out. Did she wake up from that rough movement? She did. Did she struggle to get off him in anger? Well, she certainly tried and failed. Did she call him names and used expletives in front of her new staff? She definitely did. Min Hyeon laughed as he threw her down on their bed and proceeded to tire her out the way he had wanted to during the ride back from Daegu. Life, he thought sleepily after, was way better with Seo Ryeong sleeping next to him.

"Well?"

"Well, what?" Seo Ryeong replied testily. "Can't we just have a meal without all these quizzes?"

"Omo, you're happy," her sister teased. They were having lunch at Seo Gyeong's apartment. Seo Ryeong didn't have a reply for that but she felt her cheeks heat up. She was happy to see her sister more energetic. The months of recovery after her stem-cell transplant and subsequent kidnapping had been long and full of ups and downs. The trial against Chairman Yoon had begun. Seo Ryeong wanted it to be over as fast as possible. She didn't want it taking a toll on her sister's recovery. Part of Seo Ryeong's contribution to Gyeongie's recovery was this : she bullied her sister to eat by sending lots of imported goods from her frequent trips to Japan. There was a frenzy in Corea for Japanese products. The upcoming royal visit to Japan signalled thawing diplomatic ties between the ancient enemies and Seo Ryeong wanted to experience everything firsthand before it was ruined by the hordes of Corean tourists.

"Just let me eat, won't you?"

"You're eating a lot more than you used to. Are you sure you're not pregnant?"

"No way. I have a plan for pregnancy, alright? I'm not one of those girls who get knocked up even with protection," Seo Ryeong scoffed.

"You always act like one anyway - cranky, irritable - ," her sister did not finish the sentence because she was laughing at her own joke.

"Ha. Ha."

"How's Min Hyeon oppa?"

"He's still alive," Seo Ryeong said without feeling.

"You sound as though you're a Black Widow just keeping your bed partner alive," Seo Gyeong said.

"I have no intention to be a widow and even if I did, I'll be rich."

"Not everything is about money, eonni."

"Yes, but whoever said money doesn't buy happiness doesn't have any money to speak of."

"Min Hyeon oppa said he brought you to Daegu, to meet your father."

"Yes, he did."

"How was it?"
