'Ding'
As soon as the bell rings, the students start packing their belongings right away wanting to go back to their estate as soon as possible.
On the other hand, Zach is the last one to exit the class as he decides to do a quick revision, as usual.
The talk. Zach remembered their promise. All of a sudden, he feels nervous just by thinking of it. Well, at least he managed to push it aside while in the class.
Personal and business matter shall be separated, Zach still remember the word his father told him years ago after the incident with Harry.
After making sure he did not miss anything, Zach exits the classroom and starts heading towards his best friend who is waiting for him by the locker.
Thomas won the bet, in case you wanted to know. This year, the Student Council had to deal with 100+ new members.
However, this year will be a bit different than before. The student has to go through interview to ensure they are eligible for the positions.
It was the committee's idea and he agreed to it. Zach thought that it is the right thing to do. So, rather than just want to watch the heir, the new member should have their own passion to become a student council member since this is a huge responsibility.
"Z, I'll meet you at the usual place yeah? I have something to discuss with you." Thomas says before he goes inside the car with Lucy.
Zach smiles, before nodding his head. Doing a thumbs up as the agreement is made. Even though some people might look down on him but when it comes to business or work, Thomas take it seriously.
Zach starts heading towards the Student Council room. He takes a deep breath, and make his way inside the room.
He sits at the long table where the student meeting are usually conducted.
He glances at his watch, 2:00 pm. Zachary sighs, knowing the brunette is late for their talk. Zach decides to start planning for the weekly student meeting while his mind wonders about a certain brunette.
*
Then suddenly the door flew open and the brunette comes into the room with her gray aesthetic bag.
"You are late." Zach says, he doesn't even bother to look at the brunette and just continue to do his work on the laptop. Making eye contact with her will only make things worse.
"I'm just going straight to the point. Apparently, news goes by that your father invited my parents to talk about the future collaboration with the company." Jasmine said to the boy. She then sits next to him.
"Yes, he had personally informed me yesterday while I was at the office and when you were hanging out with you-know-who." Zach close his laptop and put it in his bag.
"His name is Harry! And I don't understand why you can't just say his name properly." Jasmine slightly getting irritated.
"I am aware of his name but I don't feel like his name is worth to be uttered." Zach smirks.
"You are just jealous, aren't you? Because up until now, you still could not find anyone." Jasmine replies to him.
Zach takes a deep breath, and slowly walks to the girl, like a predator met its prey.
Jasmine's cheek turns red as she realizes she could not move any further from the wall, she stops Zach with her hand so he could not get any closer.
"Sure, let's say I am jealous, what do you suggest I do, princess?" Using his husky voice, he whispers to the flustered brunette.
"Y-you ugh whatever, I don't care." Jasmine push the boy out of her way and quickly walks out of the room as she curse under her breath about agreeing to meet the president.
He sits back at the chair and smiles knowing the effect he has on the brunette. He decides to call it a day and starts heading towards his family's mansion.
*
"Z, have a rest for a little bit. You have been doing your work for 4 hours straight." Zach heard his best friend said.
After the talk Zach had with Jasmine, he went to shower and change his clothes at his family's mansion and decides to go to the office to finish some work to kill some time before the dinner tonight.
Thomas sighs. He's afraid that Zach might become a workaholic with the amount of work he decides to do every day.
"I can't, I need to finish this proposal before tonight. I have dinner appointment with the Sullivan's remember? It's almost done though, don't worry." He says.
"By the way, have you talk to her about what is happening tonight?" Thomas asks his best friend as he sips the americano that Anne, Zach's assistant made for the CEO awhile ago but remain untouched as the heir was too caught up with his work.
Zach closes the computer sighing as his proposal is finally done. He stands and looks behind him which is the view of New York City. He takes a deep breath and says,
"No, I did not tell her about the marriage."
