Chapter 12 : Stressful Meeting

"I'm sorry, princess but I promised your dad to send you home before midnight." Zach apologizes to the brunette.

Despite her pleading to follow Zach to the office, he managed to say no. However, the girl doesn't want to talk to him anymore.

That's why Zach is in front of the girl's bedroom on Sunday morning as he is trying to apologize to the brunette.

He goes straight to the Sullivan's because apparently, she is not talking to her dad because of yesterday's situation.

The silence is killing him and he doesn't like it.

He sighs. Then Mr. Sullivan comes towards her door.

"Fine fine I'm sorry honey, but I will let you follow Zach to his office today though since he is heading to the office right now, isn't it Zach?" He asks the guy.

"Yes, there is a small issue in the company regarding the project so I need to go to the office. Do you want to join me, princess?" Zach asks the girl. Mr. Sullivan looks at the boy as he calls his daughter, princess. He smiles.

"Oh uh-I'm sorry, I mean, do you want to join me, Jasmine?" Zach asks again, mentally slapping himself for uttering those nicknames in front of the girl's father.

Then the door flew open.

"You rarely calls me Jasmine, usually it's princess, gorgeous, mi am-

"Okay okay, let's not talk about that in front of your father, yeah?" 

Sure, the girl's father are in this agreement too but there is a boundary one should always be aware of.

"Oso is too big, is there a smaller version of him so I can take him everywhere with me?" The brunette asks him.

"Alright you lovely duo, I need to get going. Zach, I emailed your assistant regarding our meeting later." With that, Mr. Sullivan walks away leaving the couple alone.

"There is a smaller version of Oso, I will ask Anne to buy it for you." Zach tells the girl. He redo his tie and coat then decides to head to the office too but Jasmine stops him.

"I thought you invited me to go to the office today with you so, let's get going? And also, I don't want your assistant to buy it, I want you to earn it at the funfair again, next time." After the brunette says that, she quickly walks away.

Zach freezes. Did she just-

"Wait, what? next time? Does that mean we will go on a date again, princess?" Zach asks the brunette as he is walking faster trying to catch up to her.

Jasmine rolls her eyes and nods while she acts like nothing just happened.

Zach smiles as he pats the girl's head.

"I'm still not falling inlove with you, it will never happen." Jasmine says.

"Sure princess, whatever you say." Zach smiles cheekily.

"Stay here while I'm on the meeting, okay? I will be back soon." Zach kisses the brunette's forehead.

"Can I come and see your meeting? Please?" Jasmine asks the boy hoping that he will say yes. She is never the one who like to be in the office or a meeting because of the work pressure and all.

She is never a fan of business but she decides to start liking it and learn it as she has come to an agreement with her father to accept the CEO position in Sullivan's Enterprise.

"Sure, princess but I will tell you that it will be a long and boring meeting, will you be okay?" Zach asks the girl which the later responds with a nod.

"I will ask Anne to accompany you in the meeting so if you have any problem or maybe-

-if you wanted to eat something in the middle of the meeting, you can tell her so she can settle it for you, okay princess?" Anne used to be Mr. Ferdinand's assistant but he decided to transfer her in order to help his only son at the office.

"Ugh, fine whatever. It's always Anne this, Anne that, so annoying." Jasmine mutters under her breath. Suddenly, there is a knocking on the door.

After Zach tells the person behind the door to come in, there stands Anne holding the book so she could write the important things in the meeting later.

"Zach, everyone has arrived in the meeting room."

Zach nods his head, smiling as he looks at his assistant. Not realizing his fiancee is looking at him with her raised eyebrows.

"Change of plan, Jason will be the one to take note of the important issue and problem in the meeting later and you will be accompanying my fiancee. Is it alright, Anne?" Zach asks his assistant.

"Yes, No problem." Anne replies.

Zach sighs as he is now standing in front of the majestic door that leads to the meeting room. Take a deep breath, release. Zach kept reminding himself.

Jasmine looks at Zach and she could not believe what she is seeing.

The face of a romantic guy winning Oso, a nerd boy who always kiss her forehead, a sweet brother who always takes care for Leia is all gone. 

Zach is now in serious mode.

He doesn't smile and if Jasmine is a new girl, she might think that he is an annoying, fussy, serious boss. Jasmine smiles.

'He is hot, though-Wait, what?' Jasmine shakes her head, not believing what she just thought.

Zach opens the door, and the meeting room are full of people in in their formal attire. Everyone in the room stands as he is walking to his seat.

Anne guides the brunette to the other table.

"I heard about the issue regarding Jasmine Garden. Will someone explain it to me? David?"

The brunette's eyes are now wide open. Is it just her or the name of the project is her name? Again, she shakes her head. 

Stop imagining things, Jasmine. She thought.

Anne sees how the brunette's reaction after hearing the project's name so she just smiles.

"Yes, sir. There is a problem with the flower. Robert recklessly misplace the flower and all of it has died because of the temperature so approximately there is a huge loss to the company." David says as he glares at someone.

"It was not my fault! Nobody gives a response when I asked!" Robert stands from his seat, trying to defend himself.

"I talked to the management and they said they have emailed to all the flower-handlers on the procedure to be followed." Zach's voice can be heard from the front of the meeting room to the back.

Jasmine looks at the boy's face and instantly realizes that nobody messes up with his work.

Zach try to calm himself. Everyone are now feeling uneasy with the CEO, the fear are too overwhelming to handle.
