On my way to the coffee shop I become more and more nervous. I mean who wouldn't be nervous? I'm getting coffee with one of the most known actresses and of top of that I have the biggest crush on her. I try to calm my nerves a little which surprisingly works.

I arrive in front of the shop and scan it to look if Scarlett is already here. When I see that I'm the first I decide to enter the shop to grab a seat. As I step in I'm greeted by Fred, the owner of the shop. I know him because I used to work her before becoming a full time streamer.

"Hey Y/N! How are you doing? Haven't seen you in a while"
"Oh hey Fred. Great actually. How are you? Yeah I've been busy. You know working and stuff."
"That's great. Me too. Thought so but don't overwork yourself alright?"

I smile at him. That's what I love most about him. He always looked out for me even when he didn't have to.

"Never. How are the kids?"
"Oh they're great but growing too fast. You should come over sometimes they're asking about you."
"Isn't that always the case. Tell them I'll come around at some time"
"Yeah they'll soon be off to college. Oh god I feel old. Will do! Now do you want your usual?"
"I'm actually here to meet with someone. So I'll grab a seat and when they're here just let us order please"
"Uh is it a date?", he questions
I laugh, "No it's not."
"If you say so", he says with a smirk
Rolling my eyes "I'll be over there"
"Alright"

I walk over to an empty table and sit down. I took my phone out and look a the clock.
'Already 2:15pm. Maybe she just has something to deal with' I think to myself.
I wait for another 10 minutes and start to become anxious. I subconsciously start to bounce with my leg. What if she stood me up? What if she forgot about it? But my thoughts get interrupted by a voice.

"Hey Y/N!" I look up and see Scarlett standing in front of me. I'm relieved and release a breath I didn't know I was holding but try to be subtle about it.

"Hey" I answer shortly and regret it the second I do it because I instantly see her face drop a little.
"I'm sorry that I'm late. It's just- something came up at work and I lost track of time and when I looked at my phone I saw that I'll be late but instead of texting you I decided to get ready and come here and-"

I cut her off so she would stop rambling "Scarlett it's okay really. I talked to Fred for a while anyway. I didn't wait long"
"Fred?"
"Yeah. He's the owner of this place. I used to work her and he would always look out for me. Actually I think he's coming over right know"

In the mean time Scarlett sat down on the opposite of the table. As Fred reaches us he looks at me with wide eyes and a shocked expression.

F-"You didn't tell me you were meeting with Scarlett Johansson"
I chuckle a bit "And?"
F-"And? You could've warned me?! I could've do something nice or I don't know?!"
"Fred calm down please. We just want to sit here and enjoy our coffees without getting harassed by your annoying ass"
F-"Hey no reason to become mean"

During our short conversation I glance at Scarlett and see her observing. When we lock eyes she gives me a soft smile which I return easily.

F-"Okay I guess you want your standard", I just nod my head in response, "What would you like Miss Johansson?"
S-"Please don't call me that. It makes me feel old. And I would like a Latte Macchiato."
F-"Alright coming up"

He leaves to make our coffees.
Scarlett turns her head to me and gives me her full attention. "Thank you"
Confused what she means "And for what exactly?"
"That you shut him down about doing something nice just because of me. I don't like it when people treat me different just because of my job. I do it because I like to do it and not for the fame or the money. They are nice side effects but nothing more. So thank you."
"Oh that. Yeah of course, it wasn't a problem. I know that you don't like it and I also know that you're too nice to say something against it so I just did it for you"

She just smiles at me and I swear I would do anything to keep that smile on her face because it's the most beautiful one I've ever seen. I smile back and then Fred comes back with our order and some cookies.

I just smile at him thankfully while Scarlett thanks him "Thank you Fred" "No problem. Enjoy!" And with that he leaves us once again to serve others.

Scarlett decides to break the silence in which we sit for a little.
"So how do you know Fred? I mean besides the job you two seem pretty close?"

I sigh because it brings up some memories from my past. "He saw me at the street at night when I ran away from home. He gave me a job so I can pay my rent after I decided to move out of my best friends house. He's like family." I smile at the memories I have with him and his family.
"That's really nice of him. How long did you work here?"

I'm glad she doesn't push the topic why I ran away from home. We're not there yet but if we become friends I might tell her at some point.

"About 2 years. Then the streaming became a full time job but I would occasionally help out if needed. Still do when Fred asks."
"That's really cool."

We continue to talk and get to know each other. Why did I decided to become a streamer? Why did she became an actress? Etcetera etcetera

After a while she looks at her phone and frowns a bit.
"I need to pick up Rose from the babysitter. I really don't want this to end though."
"What if I come with you? Only if it's okay with you of course"
Her frown turns into a smile
"I would love that but I warn you Rose can be a handful"
"That's no problem. I know how it is I have smaller siblings"
"Okay but don't say I didn't warn you!"

We get up and go to the register. As I reach out to pay for both of us Fred pushes my hand away and says it's on the house. Scarlett and I thank him and say our goodbyes. After that we make our way to the babysitter to pick up Rose.
