A/N: Okay thank you all for 1k reads! I just saw it and I'm so happy about it! But now back to the story

"I guess because of my four younger siblings" I scratch my neck nervously and wait for further questions.
S-"Oh that's cool! How old are they?"
"Ähm 11,13,15 and 21"
S-"Are you close with them?"
"I used to be really close with them but now not anymore. I wish it was different." And here come the hard questions
S-"That's sad. Do you mind me asking why's that?"
I swallow the forming lump in my throat and try to keep my breathing steady. Breaking the eye contact I answer half honestly "They're living in Idaho so I'm not seeing them very often"

Thankfully Rose runs up to me before Scarlett has a chance to ask any further questions.
R-"Y/N can you play with me?"
"Of course!" Turning to Scarlett, "I'll go play with her for a while. Don't get too bored without me!"
Before she can respond I start chasing Rose.

All the time while I play with Rose I can feel a pair of eyes on me and I know exactly who it ist but refusing to meet her eyes I concentrate on Rose. After like an hour of running around and playing tag I collapse back on the bench and Rose between me and Scarlett.

S-"Did you have fun baby?"
R-"Yes! Thank you Y/N for playing with me!"
"Of course! It was really funny wasn't it?"
R-"Mhm. Can we do it again some time?" she asks me with those puppy dog eyes which are extremely hard to turn down
"If your moms alright with it I'd love to"
Before Rose can ask her mum she already said yes. Rose jumps up and down full of excitement and I can't help but smile at that.

During all this time I didn't look at Scarlett once. I know that she noticed the change of my mood after her last questions but I'm just not ready for more and I'm too afraid tell her. I don't know it's dump. Looking at my watch I see that it's already 6p.m. and I wanted to do a spontaneous late stream tonight.

"Hey guys it's late already and I kind of wanted to stream a little bit tonight so I'll probably should go soon."
That's when I first meet Scarlett's eyes in over an hour. I couldn't read the expression she's giving me.
R-"I don't want you to go."
Breaking the eye contact once again I turn my attention back to the little girl clinging on me.
"I don't want to go either but it's work and I promise you we'll play again okay?"
R-"Pinky promis?"
"Pinky promise" I smile at her and connect my pinky with hers.

S-"Hey Rose? Will you go and play for a few minutes? I need to talk to Y/N real quick."
R-"Otay"
After Rose went back to playing I know what's coming so I turn my body slightly turning myself more to Scarlett. I slowly look up just to see Scarlett already looking at me.

S-"Look Y/N, I clearly saw your mood change earlier and I'm sorry if I crossed a line but-"
"You didn't. It's just-" I take a deep breath before continuing, "It's just that me and my parents don't have the best relationship which resulted me living with my best friend and meeting Fred. I'm just not ready to talk about it yet cause, and please don't take that the wrong way, I don't know you long enough for it. I mean on a personal base and all you know? Let's just say that it's really fucked up and harmed me in a bad way. And I totally get if you don't want to continue hanging out or becoming friends. I totally get it and-"

I freeze mid sentence because Scarlett lays her hand on top of mine which is on the backrest of the bank.
S-"Okay you need to calm down can you do that please?"
I nod my head bringing my heavy breathing under control. After a minute I have it back to a steady one so Scarlett continues.
S-"First of all I'm really really sorry to hear that. If I had known I wouldn't have ask."

I open my mouth to try to interrupt her but she shushes me.
S-"Secondly you don't need to tell me about it now or tomorrow or whenever. Tell me when you're ready. You can tell me one part at a time or all of it in one go. Just don't pressure yourself about it please?" I just nod keeping my mouth shut.
S-"Okay and now about that last part. I do intend to keep hanging out with you because I really like your company. And I already think about you as a friend. I didn't know this was one sided."

She looks hurt and sad. Now I fell bad. She already considers us friends and I moron bring it up. I internally punch me for this before speaking up letting my insecurities speak.

"I just didn't assumed somebody like you would deal with somebody like me let alone become friends."
S-"Somebody like me? Somebody like you?"
"I mean you are this beautiful, successful, attractive, intelligent, wonderful actress who can have anybody as friends and I'm just me. A normal woman who streams and happens to make a living out of it." Ashamed I look down. This is until Scarlett puts a finger under my chin lifting it up so I look in her beautiful green eyes. And I swear she has a light blush on her cheeks.

S-"Thank you for those compliments. But! Your not just a 'normal' woman! You're are a kind, thoughtful, beautiful, smart and don't forget funny person who makes every day of mine better because you can make me laugh even if I don't want to and that is a special gift. So please don't think so little about yourself. And to be clear: We. Are. Friends. and we'll probably become really good over the next few weeks I can tell. And Rose already loves you so what could there be more to want?"
"Okay"
S-"Perfect. Now I probably should grad Rose and go home with her. It's pretty late and she has school tomorrow."
"Of course. I'll go to my place after I said goodbye to her."
S-"And what about me?" She pouts and I really find that cute.
"I'll say goodbye to you to don't worry."

After she grabbed Rose I said goodbye to them and start my way home. On my way I thought back to the events of today and smile to myself.
I'm friends with Scarlett freaking Johansson and I'll probably fall in love with her...
