It's really short, I'm sorry. Like you may or may not know already, I used to update on my computer, but it's broken. Sorry for keeping you waiting, I'll try to update this and Complications more. I apologize.

ALSO I HAVE A QUESTION AT THE END, PLEASE ANSWER IT! (:

~

There was a huge spider dangling on its web from the ceiling, and I swear it was looking straight at me. In the next second I decided what I was going to do. Spinning on my heel, I ran out.

If I wasn't running, I would've patted myself on the back because I remembered my way back to where we were all staying. If Justin was behind me or not, I didn't know. Looking back wasn't on my list of things to do.

I gasped as I came to find out nobody was here. They were all gone, the one lively room was silent. Too silent.

My head snapped up to the staircase as I heard a giggle. It sounded like Addi, and I sighed. They all must've went exploring.

Determined not to go back into the room with the spider, I cautiously began to climb up the stairs. They creaked and groaned, but it didn't bother me.

Suddenly there was a loud guffaw of laughter, and I swear it belonged to Addi. It came from the right hallway, and I turned. There was a lot of cobwebs and it was dark, but I could still kind of see where I was going. If I wasn't so determined to get to Addi, walking alone like this would've scared me a lot more than it actually did.

There were doors everywhere as I passed them, but one stood out. A little way along the hallway I could see it, the white paint barely on the door as a majority of it was peeled off. There was a soft light pouring from underneath it, and it went out for a second as a shadow came across it. Someone was in the room.

There was another giggle, and this one seemed a little less like Addi's. This one sounded more deeper, but that didn't matter to me right now. Addi was in there.

A light breeze drifted through the uninhibited hallway, and it made me shiver.

"Victoria."

The voice that called my name was almost a whisper, gentle and soft as it went with the wind. It was barely audible, and it sounded familiar though I couldn't put a face to it.

I shook myself. I'm pretty sure it's just my head playing tricks on me. I probably didn't hear anything, and I was just paranoid.

"Yeah," I mumbled to myself. "You're just paranoid, Tori. That's it."

A small laugh came from that room again, and I ran to the door. Being alone in this empty hallway was so creepy, and I just needed someone to be there with me.

The door with the chipped white paint opened without me putting in much force to pushing it, and I was startled.

There was no one in here.

The room was empty, there was just a big, uninhibited room. The hardwood floors were covered in dust and the walls seemed to be rotting as I noticed them. There was a window, and it was boarded up badly. There was only wooden boards covering up half of the window, and there was sun streaming through.

But I heard Addi in here. She was giggling and laughing.

My confusion over the matter of what I heard was masked by the sudden urge to look out of the window. It was like my whole body was urging me to go and look, like a mysterious force that I didn't understand was compelling me to move forward.

I didn't realize that I was at the window untill I reached up with a shaky hand to touch the wood. It was damp and moldy, but I didn't care. I was curiously peaking out of the window that was surprisingly not covered with dust.

There was a large, overgrown field just like the front yard, and beyond it I could see the forest. It was dark and it looked creepy and haunted, but also thrilling somehow.

As much as I wanted to, I couldn't look away yet. The forest was so familiar, and I knew that it was like the one that I had in my bizarre dream. It was like I was in it, running like Rebecca.

Breaking out of the trance I was in, I ran out of the room and back down the stairs. That room was just not right. This whole house was not right.

No Tori, you're just overreacting.

As I ran back into the room where we were all supposed to be, when I stopped dead in my tracks.

"Tori!"

Louis was standing there, looking at me with his mischievous blue eyes that I was so used to. He had his hand in his bag, but he stood up.

"Where's Justin?" he asked, but I could only put my hand on my chest to calm my racing heart and mutter, "I dunno."

"Well then, he'll just have to catch up to us sometime, now will he?" He took my hand in his and led my back up the stairs, but turned left instead of turning right.

"Come on, we're all up here."

Well there it is, your first taste of paranormal activity. Hope you're at least a little bit satisfied.

MY QUESTION: If you were in a house with activity of the paranormal kind, what would you do? How would you react? This question is for all of the readers, I'll read them all. If you have a character in this story, what would they do?

Thanks guys, I appreciate all of the feedback and sorry for the crappy chapters I've had and the crappy chapters I will have. When we get a new computer, whenever I have the time I'll improve.
