Erg. Sorry it's short. And my cousin thought she'd be cool and be the 100th vote, even though she doesn't read this story. Double erg. But this is dedicated to Vichopes109, she's a lovely reader!

I squealed like a little girl as a tiny mouse ran across the front of my shoes in a desperate attempt to get to the other room. Automatically I started backing up, only to be met by Liam, who threw his arms around me in comfort while the others just nervously laughed.

"Shh, it's ok, Annabelle. It was just a teeny, tiny mouse."

I know that it was, just a stupid mouse, but I didn't care. I was already shaken, and I was a wee bit tired. I didn't even want to come to this house in the first place! All I wanted to do right now was go downstairs and do something that wasn't exploring this creepy house. Good God, I should've never agreed to come up here with everybody.

"Um . . . Sorry guys, but I think I'm gonna go back downstairs."

"Aww, why?" Rachel asked me, causing me to turn and look at her. I noticed she was trying to smother something in her voice. Was it giddiness? I don't know what for, maybe she was excited for something occurring later. I wasn't really paying attention to that, I was more focused on the fact that Harry had his arm oh-so casually hung over her shoulder. Was there something going on between the two? How cute!

"I'm um . . . Tired, 's all."

Liam looked as if he was  going to come with me, but then Harry said, "come on Liam, we're going."

I gave him a look that I hope told him to go with the rest of the guys, and he pecked me on the cheek before I made my way to the stairs. It took me a long time, because I was so focused on the house. It was eerie and dark, making me feel odd. I was constantly looking around like a madwoman, like something would jump out at me as I shuffled across the dirty wood floors.

A small gasp escaped my lips as I seen a figure with it's back turned a couple feet away. Brown hair was pulled back into a messy pony tail, and I already knew who it was.

"Tori?" I squeaked, thinking she would hear me. To my surprise, she didn't react. She stayed still, and then I noticed she was swaying a bit.

"Erm, Tori, can you hear me?" I was really getting scared now. I thought that Tori was supposed to be asleep with Tiger and Justin, why was she up wandering around? And why was she ignoring me?

The floorboards creaked as she started walking. She wasn't walking normally, every step she took had this airless and bouncy look to it. When I looked down at her bare, feet, a chill went  down my spine. She was floating about two inches off of the floor.

My mind didn't even have time to process anything before I started to follow her. Apparently my brain wasn't functioning properly so it could tell me to run the hell out of here. It was like I was possessed, but I knew that wasn't true. If anything, Tori was possessed. It scared me.

Her floating footsteps came to a stop when she got to a room. I didn't see anything special about it, it was just a room. My voice was much shakier this time when I called her name.

"Let me tell you a story, child."

I could tell that it was Tori, but I have a hard time believing it. It sounded like her, but there was something else in her voice. It sounded oddly amused, but it also sounded . . . dead.

"There once was this girl. She was in love. Then she died."

All of the sudden her head snapped to the side, and her eyes connected with mine as she said, "The end." Her irises weren't their normal warm brown, they were a shocking ice blue. Hatred and grief shone so bright in them, making me gasp. What the hell was going on with her? Tori looked like she was possessed, and it was scaring the crap out of me.

Then her lip curled and a low, feral snarl came from them before she was gone. I'm pretty sure her footsteps were on the floor as she zoomed past me and went down the stairs at an incredible, inhuman speed.

When I finally got to the end of the steps after rushing after her, I was surprised to see her snuggled under the covers and sleeping. Right next to Justin, where she should be. But she wasn't, she was just floating with blue eyes!

"Tori! Tori, wake up!" I went to her and immediately started to shake her awake. I needed to know if she was okay. Slowly her eyelids fluttered, and then her sleepy gaze settled on me. The normal chocolate brown, not icy blue. Confusion in her eyes, not hatred.

"Annabelle? What's going on . . . you look like you've just seen a ghost or something. What's wrong?"

"Umm . . . nothing," I stuttered, lying. What was I supposed to tell her, that I did just see a ghost, and it looked almost just like her? She'd never believe me. No, she'd just judge me, and I certainly didn't want that. This would be my frightening little secret, and I'll try to forget all of that ever happened.

Something told me that this wasn't going to be an easy task.
