Chapter 2: Respect

Shenhe POV

I looked at Y/N, who stood in front of me, offering me a hand so I can get up

In the moment, I didn't know why, but I slapped his hand away, surprising him, before  getting up, and glare at him

Shenhe: I do not need your pity, nor do I need your help. Even if you saved me, I hate you, from the bottom of my heart

At this exact moment, I covered my mouth with my hand, to prevent from saying anything else

I didn't do that because I regreted it, but only because I could feel it at this moment

His stance, his position, everything from him.......

He could kill me in a second, without me realizing

We didn't move for the next second, before he only let out a sigh, and smile at me

Y/N: Still, I am glad that you're alive and well. It really have been a long time, isn't it?

Shenhe: It has........ And I hoped it could have been longer

I started to walk away, pushing him out of the way, furious

But I stopped quickly, turning back to see him, paying respect to the monster?

Why would he respect a monster that maybe killed a hundred of people? Why not pay respect to the people he couldn't protect?

Y/N: This monster was the only survivor of a tribe the guard of Liyue killed. Even if anger was the only emotions it showed, I could feel it. His sadness was even stronger than his anger

He looked at me, as some tears falled from his eyes
