"HEY Moonbyul" Ni-ki slammed her locker shut, subsequently leaning on the latter. Moonbyul didn't look happy to see him, not that it was new, she also looked like she was going to jump on him for what he just did, also not new. She counted to three in her head, repeating what consequences her actions might have if she kicked him where the sun rays don't reach then and there.

"Dude, for fuck's sake, what the hell do you want, do you always have to be everywhere?" Ni-ki just laughed in response, a seemingly genuine laugh, ah. Happiness looked beautiful on him, Moonbyul had to admit that his smile was somehow charming.

And then she realized.
Oh, he's literally bipolar.
That's why Moonbyul was sick of him and over his shit most of the time. He acts like he's on his period or something. . .but that's not every month, it's every single day.

"Art class. Sit with me. That's my first wish" His lips slightly curved into a smile, anticipating one of those sarcastic responses of hers, it was probably one of the main reasons why he loved getting on her nerves. "Well too bad, I'm not the genie of the lamp"

He laughed again but strangely enough, that didn't seem to irritate Moonbyul. "Look, I don't feel like threatening you. Just sit with me, I'm asking nicely"

"You mean like, next to you or in front of you?" Ni-ki groaned, finding the question unnecessary and quite stupid, and this time it was Byul's turn to laugh. "In front of me, you asswipe"

"So we're going to be each other's drawing reference? I'm not drawing you" Riki rolled his eyes as far as possible, her pettiness was beginning to get on his nerves, he doesn't usually get irritated that easily, but who knows? Maybe he woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day.

"Then draw someone else. I want to draw you, you have good proportions" He sighed, walking slightly ahead while Moonbyul chased after him, constantly repeating 'was that a compliment?' but he wasn't going to answer.

Byul knew that was a compliment.
The worst part? She liked that.
If you ask her she won't admit it, but it did flatter her.

So she eventually ended up sitting in front of him and strangely enough, he was quiet the whole time, focused on his sketch, hidden behind his canvas, Moonbyul could only see a blonde strand of hair that was refusing to stay down with the others and she found that quite funny.

Moonbyul liked him when he kept that loud mouth of his shut.

While Ni-ki?

He hated it when Moonbyul stood quiet.

Her silence never meant anything good.
Not that he ever bothered to ask or be there for her.
It was simply the energy she gave off that made him feel uneasy.

However, there were moments when he appreciated it. Moonbyul was a rather chill person, at least with the others, it was always him bringing out the worst in her, he knew that and he was very proud of it.

You know that question Moonbyul asks a lot?
What have I done to deserve this?
Nothing, Byul. Nothing really.
Just hold on a little more. You'll see.

Ni-ki peeks from behind the canvas, glancing at his reference with careful eyes, frowning when he realized she wasn't going to look up, she was too focused on her own drawing.

However, he took a minute or two to examine the small details. The tiny butterfly charm hanging from her earrings, he had never actually noticed she had three piercings on each ear, the pearl necklace that could be noticed between the collar of the white button-up shirt and the little winged liner on the outer corners of her eyes.

That's why she was his drawing reference.

"Byul" He called out almost inaudibly, which was unusual, so Moonbyul raised her head slowly, fearful of why he had become so serious all of sudden. "Yes?"

". . .could you please roll up your sleeves and loosen your tie a little?" Moonbyul raised her eyebrows, baffled, finding the question a little bizarre. "Am I about to become that one anime character?"

Riki clicked his tongue, wanting her to stop it with the teasing already, kind of regretting requesting that in the first place. "You know I hate granting your wishes, but this time I might as well" She snickered, doing exactly as he said, neatly folding the sleeves of her uniform up and pulling the tie to create a slightly larger gap.

Riki shook his head, flustered, regretting requesting that even more because he could no longer look at her, just how the hell was he going to finish the drawing?

He had to swallow his pride and admit Moonbyul was gorgeous. Intimidatingly beautiful. God how he hated it.

Yeah, he hated her 'cause she was pretty, what about it?

Or maybe he hated the way she made him feel.
What did he know about feelings anyway?
He was too busy feeding himself the lies of something he never felt in the first place.

Moonbyul flinched at the sound of paper aggressively being ripped, just to realize it was Riki, who seemed now very stressed as he balled up the page, throwing it towards the trash can from his seat, and it seemed like his mood just got worse after he missed it.

"You know what? This was a bad idea" He mumbled, gathering his stuff and moving everything to the empty seat in the back of the class. Moonbyul watched the scene unfold in silence, perplexed because everything just further proved her theory─ he was bipolar.

And also a total nutjob, Moonbyul only could see through his bullshit, but nothing we didn't know already.

Just as concerned as she was confused, she decided to do what she was best at─ ignore him.

Dealing with Ni-ki was like dealing with a five-year-old child. . . that drinks.
