(Sabre POV)

I hear the door open, and the light level immediately rises to a normal-ish level.

"Huh," I say, surprised, "that actually worked."

"L-let's just get o-out of he-ere."

Aww, Red's voice is all shaky. He must still be scared...

I will not allow the friend to be scared. >:[

I hug!

I clumsily throw myself in Red Steve's general direction. Unsurprisingly, I miss.

And fall on my face.

Again.

Big-time oof right there.

Also, how is my nose not broken yet?

"Saber! Are you ok?!" Red shouts in a concerned voice.

"Yep," I say, standing back up. Now, where's the exit?

Red quickly leads me outside.

"Hey, Red, where to now?"

"We have to go to my house," says Red, still gripping my hand.

"Why?"

"There's something I need to get."

I don't even get a chance to agree with my friend before he starts dragging me back to his house.

He's running. I can't keep up. My hand slips from his. I fall.

Red's footsteps stop, and I can almost hear him take a full 180.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" Red helps me up, apologizing the whole time.

I assure Red that it's ok. It wasn't that bad of a fall, anyway.

He lets out a relieved sigh, and we continue on our way. Not running this time, though.

On the way back, I have a bit of time to think. Why is Red Steve rushing so much? I mean, of course he's still a bit shaken up, but that doesn't explain why he was running that fast.

I'll ask him when we get back.

Still, I can't help but feel worried.

There's something strange about how he's acting. Something about him is just...

Different.

He said the thing! Did you see it, at the end? He said the thing!!! Edit: I changed the title. He no longer said the thing ;-;

Sorry for the lack of updates, and sorry for the Sabre-sized chapter. Aka, extremely short.

Have a wonderful day / night / undefined time!
