Alt. title: In Which a Small Chicken Man Negotiates with a Door

Comedy time!

(Red POV)

After calming down from my third mental breakdown in the past five minutes, Sabre and I begin to look for the raised block in front of the door-wall-thingy.

Three-ish minutes.

Ten-ish minutes.

HOW LONG IS THIS GONNA TAKE???

Suddenly, my foot catches on the edge of a block, and I fall on my face. Ow.

"Red, is that you? Are you ok?!"

I let out a loud sigh. "Well, I mean, I found the block."

Sabre laughs. "Ok, just lecture me about the composition of bricks or something so I can find you."

I shrug, and begin to talk about how the art of brick making has changed over generations. "Did you know that some medieval civilizations used tarter made with seashells? It tended to be very weak, and would wear away quite quickly."

I ramble on for a few minutes, until Sabre finds—and definitely does not trip over—me.

I cry out when he kicks me in the ribs. "Sabre, why?!"

"Wait, that's you?"

"YES!"

"Huh. Thought you were a random block."

"I am not a random block, Sabre."

Sabre and I both manage to stand up without any mishaps, despite my BRUISED RIBS. Yeah, I'm still angry about that. >:[

I grumble as the non-steve shoos me away from the block and stands on it.

"Open sesame!"

Nothing happens.

"Maybe it didn't hear me. OPEN SESAME!!!"

I wince. Now my ears hurt too! Whyyyyy?

Despite Sabre's shouting, the door-wall-thingy refuses to budge.

"... please?"

I mentally facepalm. "Did you just say please... to a door?"

He ignores me. Rude!

"I didn't mean to let out the darkness! It was an accident, I swear!"

I'm confused. "What in the overworld are you doing?"

Yet again, Sabre refuses to acknowledge my existence. "Look, I know I let out an ancient evil that you had locked away for centuries, but I kinda need to leave, so let's make a deal."

I sigh,  disappointed in my friend. "Are you seriously trying to negotiate with a door?"

He STILL ignores me. "You open and let us out, and we defeat the darkness and save the world! Deal?"

I facepalm, physically this time. "You seriously think that's gonna-"

The door-wall-thingy slowly begins to open.

I am very much confused.
