If life were a game, would you reset everything and start again?

Tony walked into the building and everyone followed close behind. He showed a badge to the security guard and told the decathlon group to wait for a second, explaining to the guard that the 15 year-old students weren't a threat. Then they piled into a giant elevator and the tour began.
Peter found himself standing next to Stark, with Ned and MJ to his other side and everyone else behind him.
"Hi, Pete," said Tony.
He smiled and waved in reply. Flash eyed them both for a second, before asking, "hey how come you know his name?"
Tony looked behind him and looked the boy up and down before responding, "well, Flash, Peter texted me once complaining about a bullet in his leg and after that, we became quite good friends."
Peter, upon hearing this, looked up at Stark in fear. What was he doing?
Flash rolled his eyes. "I was only asking."
"And it was only telling!" Tony grinned. "Oh and thanks for the coffee, Pete."
Peter looked at the coffee cup still in his hand and gave it to Stark. "It's cold," he said quietly.
Flash and the rest of the group stared at them in confusion, but the elevator dinged to a stop and Tony led them out. "Here is the common room, where we play monkey in the middle with Thor's hammer. Once, Thor was mad at Clint because he'd eaten all the pop-tarts, so we were playing, right? Then Thor throws the hammer and it lands on Clint's hand. He got pinned to the floor and Thor refused to take the hammer off for two days because 'Bird-man needs to face the consequences for his actions'! Yeah, it was a pain, really... especially when he needed to use the bathroom... but after that, we banned playing monkey in the middle."
The group was dumbfounded. Both by the ridiculous story and by the room. They were standing in a luxurious lounge area: a massive tv and video game consoles on one wall, a couch shaped like a bracket surrounded a coffee table with two empty pizza boxes lying on it, a random soccer ball lay in the corner of the room, and three doors (one red, one green, and one yellow) were on another wall. But what caught their attention the most were the people lounging about. Hawk-eye had his arms crossed, staring at Stark in annoyance, Black Widow was sprawled on the floor next to the Hulk, Captain America was sitting in a rocking chair reading a book, and Stephen was 'resting his eyes' on the couch.
"Thanks for telling them that story, Tony. I really appreciate it," Clint deadpanned.
Tony patted his shoulder, "you're fine. Now, avengers! Say hi to these nice children!"
Rogers got up and walked over to them. Peter felt Ned grasp his hand and squeeze it in joy. "So. You won the competition and now you got a free tour. Hi, kids, I'm Captain America."
"No, really?" MJ whispered, which caused Peter to laugh slightly. Steve's eyes landed on him, and recognition passed through them.
"Oh, Peter!" He said.
"Hi," replied Peter.
"What's going on!? How do these people know you?" Flash asked in despair.
"Hey Peter, how are you?" Clint asked.
"Uh... good?"
