I have something to say.

I love KNY and my favorite character is Tanjiro.

I love him because he wasn't main and he was kind, but it's what made him stand out.

For those who haven't watched the anime yet, I advice for you to stop reading, because this has major spoilers.

So let's go over this. Tanjiro is the brother of Nezuko. Of course, Nezuko was good on screen, but she was just there to drive the plot.

The reason why I love Tanjiro is because of this: He shows the big brother nature.

Growing up, he and his siblings never grew up with a father. And he had to fill that role and be a good example for his siblings. At a young age, he understood that it's not only what he wants but it's also about what he could give.

This character of his is shown even more when he met Inosuke and Zenitsu. Even though along the way, all he did was berate them, we can't ignore the fact that he acts like a big brother to them and treats them like his siblings when doing so. When Inosuke took his food, instead of getting mad, he offered the whole thing.

And he's such an important aspect in the series, because, just imagine, he wanted to protect and be there for his siblings and be the father role, but he couldn't do anything against the slaughter of his family. How do you think he felt when he couldn't even raise a finger to stop such thing? From what I watched, his sanity is Nezuko.

We can see that his kind trait isn't the only one that shines through like in other anime characters, but he shows what being a big brother is all about. All the sacrifices that has to be made and all the happiness he could give back.

I really really love him for that and I wish I can marry him. 😭💖
