After days of planning and preparation, the day his father's funeral would take place finally came. It was a private service. Dae-Seong didn't want his father's funeral to be gossip or a topic used by the media for money, attention and reputation.

He sat, listening to one of the paid private priests spoke blessings and virtues. He had Jiwon and Dong-Gyun sitting beside him on each side, paying their respects as well. he stared off into nothing as his butler stood at the side.

Some of his overseas relatives also came, but they only did this to look good. He could tell. This fact angered him. After his father helped them with finance and other things, they repay him with pity.

"Any words from the Jung heir?" the priest asked from the front. All the attention went towards him. He merely shook his head. He already said his goodbyes, if he even once stepped near that coffin, his father's coffin, he'd break down all over again, but he had to be strong. For his father.

The priest nodded in understanding before continuing with the process. Everything passed like a blur to Dae-Seong. His heart longed for one last hug from his father. His mind wanted to burst from all thinking he was doing.

Suddenly, a warm hand was placed on his thigh. He looked up, meeting Dong-Gyun's eyes, who simply smiled softly, "they're going to lower him now." Dae-Seong nodded, standing up with the rest of them to drop the flowers in. White roses. His father's favorite.

He gulped looking around. They were all in black. He sighed, approaching the casket being lowered into the hole. He brought the rose's petals to his lips and placed a chaste but tender kiss on it. With one last thought, all of it was thrown into the the grave with the flower.

He clenched his fists. Why did he have to die when he needed him most? Why was the universe so cruel? He bit inside his cheek, staring at his father's coffin. Was the world taking away everything he loved? Would it be Jiwon and Dong-Gyun next? Would it be-

"Hey," Jiwon's voice reached his ears. He turned to the raven haired male who only gave him a gentle look, "you're not going to lose us." Dae-Seong's eyes widened. Was he thinking out loud? How did he know what he thought of? Was it too obvious? Or was he speaking his mind?
