"What happened here?" Nik asks, as he walks up to me. I smile at him, exhaling, as I try to keep my balance.

"Fuck! Ms. Leister!" He asks, as he grabs my arm. I'd been bleeding out from the machete that cut my shoulder.

"It's nothing." I respond. "I found out that Volkov uses this place as his hideout. I burnt all the drugs inside."

He looks at me, stunned. He lets go if my arm, still looking at me. Why was he so shocked? He underestimated me, yet again.

"You did what?"

"I sent his man to him. He must know what I've done, and I'm sure he'll show himself soon. I did well, right?" I ask him. Before he can respond, I'm thrown into utter darkness.

Leonid's POV

I watch her from the drivers mirror, as I zoom off, racing back to the house. Andrea needed medical attention. I call Irina, "Get the doctor to the house, now." I tell her. I end the call before she can ask any questions.

I was extremely upset at what she'd done. Leonid was upset, and Nik was upset. Leonid was upset because he had just lost thousands of dollars, a soldier, and Nik was upset because his partner had made a move before informing him about it. There was another reason why I was upset. I could feel it. I was annoyed seeing her in that condition— upset that she'd been in danger without me being there to help her.

We arrive at the house. I carry her inside, as Sasha and Irina open the door for me to go in. Thankfully, the doctors already there.

"What happened?" Sasha asks.

"You have to save her. I don't know what's wrong, but it seems she lost a lot of blood, and she looks so pale. Fix her immediately." I tell the doctor.

"Nik." Irina states, grabbing my arm. "This is the perfect opportunity. Let her go this way." Irina suggests, as she looks at Andrea lying on the couch, still unconscious.

"Who did this? What happened?" Sasha inquires. I turn around to look at the doctor.

"Is it bad?"

"It seems her wound's been infected. I'd need somewhere to place the drips on, and give her a few injections. I'll disinfect this, and stitch her up as quickly as I can." He says.

I look around the house, looking for what to hand to him. I grab two dining chairs, and stack them together.

"This will work." The doctor responds.

I walk away, into the room, and I hear Sasha and Irina follow behind me.

"Leonid, will you tell us what happened? Did you do that to the police?"

"She's not a police officer, Sasha. At least, not anymore. And, no. I did not. One of our guys did." I respond.

"That can only be possible if she found out about something. Does she know?" Irina asks.

"She doesn't know, Irina." I respond. I look at the two of them, knowing what their reactions would be. "She found out about one of our cooking spots. The restaurant. She went there, killed some of the guys, and set the place ablaze."

"This is what I told you!" Sasha yells. I look at him, reminding him to lower his eyes and tone when he spoke to me. I was the head of the family, and he didn't need to tell me what to do.

"We've just lost a lot of money, and manpower. Who's to say we're not next, Leo? Or even you?" Irina asks. She walks out.

"I need privacy." I tell Sasha. He leaves. I shut the door behind him.
