Day 18.
(Nate's Point of View)
I have a surprise for Esther today. I know she loves stuffed animals and flowers. She couldn't take any of her stuffed animals when coming here. So I'm gonna take her to the Disney store to get whatever she wants.
At noon, I told her that we were gonna have a lunch date instead of a dinner date, so we got dressed and I took her to a really nice Irish restaurant. We sat down, I got her pretzels and a fish and chips plate. Once we were done there, I told her that we had one more place to go.
We got to the Disney store and took her inside. She gasped once inside and she looked at me with such an adorable look. "Esther, get whatever you want." She grinned, let go of my hand, and bolted into the store. Five minutes later, I found her. She turned around and had five stuffed animals. She had Stitch, Belle, Tinker Bell, Simba, and Sven. I bought them and she tackled me in a hug once we got to the car.
Day 19.
(Esther's Point of View)
Today is New Year's Day, January first. It's also day 19 out of 30 days to sign the contract. It's getting close and I'm nervous. I got up and walked around the house until I found the door to the garden. I went into the garden area and sat down on the bench to just think for a little bit.
Within twenty minutes, I got a call from Nate.
N- Esther, is everything okay?
E-Yeah, I'm sorry I forgot to write a note. I'm just outside in the garden.
N-Wait your outside?
E-Yeah, I'm about to come back inside though.
N-Okay, Come back inside when you're ready. I love you.
E- I'll see you soon Nate.
(Nate's Point of View)
Today we took down all the decorations. After that we mainly relaxed for the rest of the day.
Day 20.
(Nathaniel's Point of View)
I'm kind of nervous for today. Today we have a family meeting with a very specific schedule.
10:00-11:00=Arrive
11:15-12:45=Lunch
13:00-14:00=Nathaniel and Ophelia
14:15-14:20=Women leave the room
14:30-16:00=Men talk about the family business.
It's already nine in the morning, so I woke up Esther and let her know what was going on. She freaked out for a moment, but I thankfully calmed her down pretty quickly.
We got there at 10:30. Pretty much everyone is here except for George. He got here five minutes till, which is bad. We sat down for lunch and we all ate quietly. Once it hit 13:00, it got real.
E-Esther, N-Nate, L-Dad, I-Irina, V-Mom, G-George
L- Now to start the first of two meetings. Esther, My Son. You know the question I am about to ask.
N- Yes Sir. We are aware that it's the twentieth day. Esther has promised to sign soon.
L- I want to hear it from her. Esther, sweet child. Tell me what's going through your head.
E- Yes Sir-
L-Child, call me Dad, please.
E- Yes.. Dad... I um, I promised Nathaniel that I would sign soon and I intend to keep that promise.
