There was a time where the party was really close. A time before Eleven run away. A time before Maxine arrived in Hawkins. A time where the upside down didn't consume over their everyday lives.

There was a time where the party could play around and be kids with the only thing to worry about is their missing assignments in class or if they're late for dinner.

This tribe consisted of Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, Lucas Sinclair, Dustin Henderson, and Y/n L/n.

The fantastic five, also known as the original party.

The group has been formed ever since they were little kids. Since the very beginning when they all met at Hawkins Elementary School. Mike first met Y/n and Will in kindergarten, then Lucas in first, and finally Dustin in third.

They were living the adrenaline life at a young age and they loved it.

They'd go from playing the Dungeons and Dragons board game in Mike's basement to riding bikes all over town for no reason. The noise of radio static flowing through their rooms from calling each other after everyone went home, talking over one another planing for something to do the next day. Excited for the feeling of something to look forward for something everyday.

They were living the adrenaline life at a young age and they loved it. Slowly the group felt like they weren't friends and more like a family since they knew very personal things about each other and hung out almost all the time.

Almost.

The four boys weren't shocked when Y/n didn't show up for school that Wednesday morning since she told then she hasn't been feeling well since that Sunday. The were just confused on how she was sick for almost four days to where she couldn't hang out or come to school, like she always had a one to two day recovery.

When the last bell rang the four stuck to their plan they made at lunch which was to go see what was wrong with Y/n. They ran out of the building immediately as they heard the screech of the silver bell and hopped on their bikes racing to their ill friend.

When they arrived they saw Y/n's mom outside of the house packing brown boxes into a big u-haul truck. The sounds of feet scraping against the pavement of the ground, stopping themselves cause her to then around.

"Hey boys." She greeted with a smile as she closed the back door to the truck.  They all responded back with small ' hey's ' as they were confused as to why their friends mom was packing boxes into a white moving van.

"Why are you packing?" Dustin said abruptly-making the others scold him. Dustin craned his neck to look at the others. "What I'm only saying what we're all thinking"

The four got off their bikes and dragged it over to the lawn, dumping it on the green grass–standing in front of their friends deep blue house.

"We're moving" Y/n's mom started fishing for something in her pocket as she answered him. Finally removing a single key from her back pocket she turned to lock the back door of the van.

"To where?" Mike spoke up watching Ms. L/n's hasty movements. Everything about her seemed rushed like she was ready to leave, to go and forget everything. That's something they would soon regret to not pick up on, especially Mike.
