"Please mind the gap between the train and the platform" an electronic voice spoke on the stations speakers as I got onto the train. I was on my way home from university! I had just graduated and was moving in with my parents and sister again. Hopefully I can buy or rent a house soon. We currently live in London but I want to move back to Brighton. We had lived there till I when I was ages 13-16 and it was the best period of my life.
When I got on the train I looked around trying to find a seat. All the seats where taken other than one double seat but one was occupied by a man with curly brown hair and glasses. "Hello, I'm y/n! I was wondering if I could sit here?" "Oh hi, I'm Wilbur and of course." He gave a warm smile. I returned the smile as I sat down.
After around five minutes on the train I decided to start a conversation with this Wilbur figure. "So where are you heading?" I asked. "I'm heading back home to Brighton after visiting a friend, you?" My eyes practically sparkled. "Oh that's so cool! I want to move to Brighton soon! But, I'm coming home to London since I just graduated university." I smiled he nodded in understanding.
We talked till the train stopped at my stop. "Good bye y/n! It was lovely to meet you!" "Bye Wilbur! It was lovely meeting you too!" We hugged each other before I grabbed my bags and gave him one last wave.
As I walked out of the train station I realized one thing. The biggest mistake I could have ever made. I didn't get his phone number. 'NOOOOooooooOooOOo' I practically screamed in my head. 'Your so stupid y/n! You make a friend for the first time in years and you don't remember to ask his number! I'll never see him again now! Good going me.' I internally sighed as I waited for my lift to arrive.
Once the lift pulled into my parents drive way I payed the driver and grabbed my bags. I quickly knocked on the door. After a minute my younger sister Hope answered the door and engulfed me in a hug. "Y/n! I missed you!" She was practically screaming. "I missed you too Hope! But please get off of me your going to kill me!" She let go of me and brought my stuff inside. "Where are mum and dad?" I asked. "They are off on business remember?" I nodded my head. I forgot but I should have known. They where always off and on trips leaving me and my sister alone for months at a time.
We ate dinner and unpacked a bit before deciding to hang out in Hope's room and paint our nails together. We talked about her life and her college life right now for a while before she asked about my trip home. I told her about the brunette I met and how sweet he was. "OooOOOooh! Y/n's got a crush!" She said dragging out the o in oh. "Even if I did it's not like I remembered to get his number! I'll never be able to speak to him again!" I cried. Her face fell into an 'o' shape.
We spent the rest of the night with each other, actually we spent the entire month with each other. Soon our parents got home I caught up with them, but soon, they left again. I had gone to work almost everyday if the week saving the last bits of money I'd need to guys a house this when on for almost a year and a half. A regular old 9-5 job as a secretary. Not because I liked it but because I need the money for two things, a house, and a pc.
And finally after nearly a year and a half, 436 days to be exact, I had enough money to buy a small apartment in Brighton right across the street from an office building I could rent an office from. This was it I was moving out hopefully for good.
