Power Rangers Ninja Storm: Rise of the Son of Tommy

Attack on the Fire Ninja Academy

Third POV:

In the forest of Reefside on Valencia Road, there is a house that holds the two residents of the Oliver Household Jackson and Tommy Oliver. Jackson is however not the biological son of Tommy but Tommy raised him as his own without a second thought when he was left there on his doorstop 17 years ago with this orange blanket and a bracelet of a fire and a snowflake. Jackson is about 6 foot tall and has broad shoulders, however he has a moderate build that he looks like a skinny offensive lineman. He has brown eyes to go with his dark brunet hair that if looking from behind, you could mistake Tommy and Jackson as father and son. It is currently summer and Jackson is preparing to go to the Fire Ninja Academy that his father has no clue he attends due to the Ninja Code. Tommy is also preparing to do some explorations in order to try to find more "lost" research that he did with Anton Mercer for the entire summer before he prepares to start teaching at Reefside High School in the fall.

The Fire Ninja Academy is luckily in Reefside that way it never drew attention of Tommy for Jackson's different "disappearances" when he would go train there under the guidance of Sensei Bruce Chan. Somehow during those times, Tommy was also gone that he only had to let his Aunt Haley know different times to keep track of him. Usually he uses the excuse of working with his best friend Kira Ford on new music with him helping on the rhythm aspect to go with the lyrics that she comes up with along with helping make sure the chord changes make sense. Jackson is a talented drummer along with keyboardist when talking about mallet percussion, especially in jazz for mallets. Kira knows that Jackson has some secret but knows that in time he will share once he is ready to tell her. Other times he has used the excuse of playing soccer with his "friend" Conner McKnight, but they do not have a strong friendship because they do not talk much when playing soccer for they are fierce competitors on the field since Jackson plays goalkeeper and Conner is a talented forward/striker. Jackson's Aunt Haley trusts him enough to not get into trouble especially since he has been doing martial arts under his dad, along with his Uncle Jason, since he was a child.

Jackson's POV:

"Beep! Beep! Beep! Be-" Why does this stupid alarm clock have to be so annoying to wake up to? I wish I could sleep in longer, but dad is about to leave for his trip that he has no clue how long it is going to be other than he plans on being back for my birthday at least and might try to come back different times to check up on me. Well, I better get up and see my dad off before I have to go the academy. I get up and do my bathroom routine and get dressed in a pair of khaki shorts to go with a green shirt that looks similar to the Green Mighty Morphin Ranger that my Uncle Jason got me and told me that there is an inside joke with my dad and him about that shirt. I have no idea what the joke is but my dad and Uncle Jason did go to Angel Grove High when the rangers first appeared so it could be dad or him dressed up as the Green Ranger.

As I come down the stairs I smell the wonderful aroma of waffles that dad likes to make before he has to go on any sort of exhibition because it could be awhile before he gets this type of home-cook food until he gets back. "Morning Dad!" I exclaimed to him while making my way to the already running coffee pot.

"Morning Jack, how did you sleep? I'm about done with the waffles, can you help get stuff out of the fridge for me please while I get the plates and utensils?" replied dad, trying to put as much energy as he could but I could tell this exhibition has him stressing some just because usually he has more defined dates outside of just before my senior year starts and his first year of teaching high school at Reefside.

"Sure thing Dad." as I go into the fridge I try to ease some of the stress off of my dad for being gone so long, "Dad, I will be fine because I have Aunt Haley here in town in case something goes wrong. Yes she is preparing to open up her cyberspace place but you got to remember that she told both of us that I can come to her no matter what even at the cyberspace." as I pull out the butter and whip cream while going to the pantry to get the syrup and put it in the microwave.

"I know Jack, this is just me being the dad I am. Yes, I know you can handle yourself in a fight in case it comes to that but you are still my kid and it is in every parent's mindset to want to stay and protect their kid." as dad finishes up the 4 waffles, 2 for each of us. "I told you how I got jumped on my first day of school that led to me being part of a bad crowd that I didn't realize was bad until your Uncle Jace made me see the light of the crowd I was with. I know you tell me I am the better martial artist, but whenever we train you are much better than what I was at back when I was around your age. If I had to say who would win between me when I was about your age or yourself, you would beat me no doubt about it and that would also include your Uncle Jace since I beat him back then as well, but we always went back and forth whenever we sparred. Now let's eat before I have to go." came dad's reply and we dug in while not really conversing.

After finishing breakfast and getting dad loaded up and seeing him off, it is time for me to Ninja Streak over to the academy. Once I arrived I changed into my Fire Ninja uniform which for me is all black except for at some of the seams that are protruding out of the uniform, those are orange. I do the sign to go into the academy through the hidden entrance only to see that the academy is being attacked. I was shocked and only got out of it when I got ran over by my best ninja friend, the sensei's daughter, Rachel Chan who is petite like a dancer while standing at about 5 foot 3 inches with long straight brown hair with brown eyes. "Rach what is happening? Is it Lother?" I questioned hurriedly.

"It is Jackson but my dad wants to see you. Hopefully he has not been captured yet, I am going to try to get as many students out as possible or have them help me defend our home." replied Rachel just as hurriedly and then took off. I do not know what Sensei Chan wants to talk to me about in this situation other than maybe how we can turn the tide here. As I ran in the opposite direction of Rachel I then ran into Sensei Chan with a box with the Fire Ninja Academy logo on it.

"Jackson, in this box is one of the two Fire Ninja morphers. To activate it the code phrase is 'Fire Storm, Ranger Storm!' and you will become a Power Ranger." as he opens the box and gives me the morpher, I slip it onto my left wrist. "You are one of my best students here, you need to go to Blue Bay Harbor and talk with Sensei Watanabe at the Wind Ninja Academy. The Thunder Academy as already fallen. The sister morpher of yours was already given to-" at that point he was attacked from behind and was put into a bubble and went up into space. I was scared that I wouldn't be able to get out and angry at Lother that all of a sudden I had this feeling of flames surrounding me and all of a sudden I was just outside the secret entrance with no signs of fire around me, but I feel slightly drained. I decided to Ninja Streak home then eat lunch before Ninja Streaking to Blue Bay Harbor.
