Return of Thunder Part 1

Little bit of a time skip that nothing major happens for Jackson between the ice cream date and the start of the return of the Thunder Rangers. The Wind Rangers were able to handle the problems that arose that Jacks could stay in Reefside for a little bit to continue working with Kira and the band while also hanging out more by themselves. Now "Back to Action!"

I am walking in to start my shift after having some time off, since Kelly heard I got attacked back home that she insisted I take even though I was fine, and coming out of the doors was Roger Hannah. Now, I am not a major motorcross junkie like Dustin but I keep up enough that I can still talk with him and if Hunter and Blake come back especially when we talk more shop. I do not care what the vehicle is, I like talking about engines just because of how many different ways the come to fit certain vehicles and how to maximize everything in order to maintain peak performance.

"Hey Dustin, wasn't that Roger Hannah that just walked out? Why was he here?" I called out to Dustin who is currently acting as boss since Kelly is out.

"Yeah dude. He was looking for Hunter and Blake. You and Rachel haven't talked to them recently have you?" Dustin replied.

"Not since Zurgane attacked in Reefside for me, but it was just making sure I was ok since it was such a surprise attack and Zurgane is one of Lothor's top generals. I have no clue on Rachel because she went a bit dark on me as well, but I think she has gone into some bad old habits again with shutting off emotions and focusing on training." I answered to the best of my ability. When Rachel's mom passed she took it hard that she really went out of the way to keep on training and doing more than what was set, usually roping me into the training as well. I just know I have to find her before she spirals more that be harder to pull her out of compared to last time where I had to stop her from overexerting herself since she wasn't sleeping that well. "Hey on that note Dustin, do you mind if I try to check on Rachel first?" I asked.

"Yeah, go ahead. Family has to take priority." Dustin answered with the tone of understanding.

"Thanks man." so I went to the back where Dustin usually works on his bike and I try to call Rachel but I get sent to voicemail. This can mean one of two things: 1. she doesn't have her phone on her during training. 2. she is in trouble and nobody knows it. I hope it is option one instead of the other option.

Rachel's POV

I got this weird message from Hunter asking to meet up saying he might have a way to save my dad. That immediately caught my attention because I am willing to do almost anything to go and save him.

"Alright Hunter, what is the big thing that can help us save my dad along with the other ninja students?" I asked.

"Well you remember Choobo? He is saying that he is trying to defect from Lothor's army. Blake and I talked about it and think that this would be a good way to help out and do some good." he responded. Now I know Hunter and Blake have good intention, but this seems to be too good to be true. I know that I was a part of what they have done, but as long as Jacks trusts me then I am good. Speak of the devil and he shall appear because I was received a phone call from him but I don't want to talk to him right now while dealing with this.

"Hunter, in my experience, if it is too good to be true, then it must be. We should bring it up with the others, but I will voice that I am not completely buying it from Choobo." I replied. After he agreed to that because he also thought was team decision but wanted me to know first since my dad is trapped, which I like, we wanted to call a team meeting back at Ninja Ops but Blake needed Hunter. I left to talk to Jacks about all of this since it has been a little bit since we last talked, and I need to mess with him getting a girlfriend.

Jackson's POV

I am back working at the shop hoping that Rach might swing by or call me to check up when all of a sudden I hear Dustin talking with Hunter and Blake about Factory Blue but it sounds like they are back to how they were when they captured me and I am not looking forward to a repeat of that. Rachel does walk in but it doesn't seem like the Thunders see her, weird. They are usually nice to at least her and they have tried to be a bit more friendly to me especially because they almost killed me.

"Hey Jacks sorry I missed your call, and no I wasn't training. Hunter asked me to meet up with him to talk about something important. He says that there is a general from Lothor's army that is willing to defect and help us save the ninja students." she told me exactly what I wanted to know.

"Thank you for easing my worries Rach but what is the deal with the Thunder bros? They are usually not that cold, ok basically never with you but I do not want a repeat of last time." I informed her.

"No clue other than maybe it was a good thing I didn't go do anything with him and Blake. They wanted to meet him first before bringing it up with the rest of the team." was the response and I was grateful because I couldn't go against her again. At right then our morphers go off indicating we are needed.

"Go for Jackson." I called into the morpher once Rach and I enter the backroom.

"We have monster activity that seems like going to need the Fire Rangers as well." Cam responded to us.

"Alright we will be there" I answered and ended the call. "Ready?" I asked Rach.

"Ready!" "Fire Storm! Ranger Form!" we shouted and morphed and ninja streaked over to the industrial district. "Let's stick together until we find the Winds." I told Rach taking charge between the two of us that way we can watch each other's back.

"Sounds like a plan Jacks. Hopefully nothing crazy happens." she responded but at the end we got lightening sent our way that I just saw out of the corner of my eye that I could raise a fire shield to protect us. "Me and my big mouth."

"I hate it when my gut is right Rach." I muttered to her. The Thunder bros decided to then come and attack us with their Thunder Staffs. "Fire Saber!" we called out to defend ourselves and we were exchanging blows and pushing each other to this edge that Hunter decided to break out his blaster and blasted both Rachel and I over the edge that we land in front of the Wind Rangers. "Hi guys, sorry for dropping in on you guys." I apologized to the Wind Rangers sarcastically as they help Rach and I up.

"The Crab monster attacked you guys as well?" Shane asked.

"Crab monster? No we had a nice welcoming by the Thunder Bros deciding they don't want to be friends with us anymore." came Rach's reply to Shane's question. Just as the Thunder Rangers flipped down which shocked the Wind Rangers just as the Crab monster appeared as well. "Divide and conquer?" Rach asks.

"You two take on the Thunder Bros that keep on switching sides while we take another round against the Crab." Shane ordered and we split up to take on our respected opponents. Rachel went to go against Blake while I went against Hunter because we can have a range battle. While we are in our heavy battle of trying to shoot each other we got transported to some random island and I am demorphed with nobody near me on this beach.
