{01: beacon hills high and the asshole.}

THE CRISP MORNING AIR OF A SMALL TOWN CALLED BEACON HILLS entered the red toyota corolla - mixing with the warm heat escaping from the vents as Aurora Martin sped through the backroads on the way to her new high school. The beat of the current hits on the radio calmed her nerves as her hearing picked up on the sound that escaped from underneath her tires as they made contact with the road as her heart beated against her chest as she tried to calm her nerves. The young girl was never good at first days, even despite having lived in the same town for all her life. Beacon Hills was the definition of a small town. Everyone knew everything about everyone so it wasn't surprising that when there was a new student in town, the word spread like wildfire.

But at this moment, this was the least of Aurora's worries as she was currently experiencing something that every teenager runs into during their educational years - being late. Aurora Martin, most commonly referred to as Rory was currently panicking over the fact that she was going to be late on her first day back to school. Anyone who knew Aurora knew that she was a smart, trusting, loving girl who was obsessed with caffeine and incredibly intelligent which meant that her school mattered to her. But what they didn't know is that the girl was special in other ways too, she was supernatural. Specifically a hybrid, a werewolf and a witch. Ever since she was little her mother always told her to keep it a secret because if people found out the truth about how powerful the girl truly was they'd take advantage of her or even be terrified of her. Population status was important to the Martin family, so Aurora knew she couldn't let anyone find out which is why every year she puts on the act of a normal teenage girl instead of who she truly was in order to keep her and the ones she loved safe which meant taking it day by day.

Leading us to the girl pulling into an empty parking spot and grabbing her bag as she hopped out of the car and let her eyes scan her surroundings as she locked her car. She noticed an unfamiliar girl sitting nearby on the phone. She immediately came to the conclusion that that must be the new girl, so on her way inside she stopped by to introduce herself when she heard the girl ranting to someone on the phone about forgetting a pen and how her hair tie broke. Politely interrupting the girl she introduced herself and offered her a hair tie. She seemed very appreciative and accepted it before introducing herself as well as Allison Argent. Aurora then informed Allison that if she asked the teacher in class she was sure they would have a pen for her to borrow before informing the girl that she had to go and that she'd see her around not knowing that she'd be seeing the girl sooner than realized. Aurora managed to make it into class just seconds before the bell rang and sat down at her respected seat near Scott and Stiles, two boys that she had been friends with since Kindergarten.

She wasn't extremely close to them, but they talked every once in a while and greeted each other in the hallway or in this case, the classroom. As she sat down behind Stiles who sent her a friendly smile which Aurora returned before getting situated for the class to begin and as it did, the vice principal opens the classroom door revealing Allison who Aurora had met just moments before, the two smile at each other as the vice principal introduces her to the class before the vice principal leaves causing her to walk over and take a seat next to the girl and behind Scott who turned around to give Allison a pen to which she looked surprised by but smiled and thanked him causing him to turn around so that Allison couldn't see him blush - but Aurora sure did resulting in her to look back at Allison with a confused expression who only shrugged in reply a smile on her face as she tucked her hair behind her ear.
